My local place, so glad I have this place a few minutes from where I grew up. Small but very homey place. The locals are always very friendly as well as the regulars, which one of them would be me. The food is always very good and there is usually a special and the pizza is the best. The owner is a great guy and will tend to the needs of the customer if he can. 3-4 craft taps rotate weekly or bi-weekly as most of what he gets are 5 gallon kegs to keep them changing and keep us interested.

Met up with yobdoog here last night for a cask event and St. Patty’s day dinner. The place rather cozy but inviting. Full of locals who seek out good beer. While the tap list is small (Ommegang Rare Vos, CL liquid gold, and Bud, plus a cask of Otter Creek’s RIS), the good beer actually goes quickly and taps change regularly. The crowd was remarkably friendly and welcoming, as were the staff (including the owner, who makes a mean pizza). As it was SP day, corned beef and cabbage were the choice of the day, with excellent house made soda bread. Small, but very good, and probably the best within a big radius.
