World Market - Mountain View

I used to buy beer at world Market 20yrs ago, when I lived close to one. Now they are not interesting, but the food is still eclectic and interesting. 5 racks of warm large craft beers.

Stopped in on the way out of town. I realized that there are a whole bunch of places on the beer map right here on El Camino. It’s been a number of years since I’d been in a World Market. Kind of Kmart like with stuff seemingly randomly placed everywhere and the same applies to the beer. There was one small aisle of beer and a bunch of random displays around the store with a few bottles on them. I did walk around and look at them all. I suppose this would be a good place to buy a few things if you were shopping for some kitchen appliances or odd spices and wanted a St Bernardus to drink while sitting in your sweet new lawn chair this would make sense, but otherwise head up the street to several better stores.

Like all the other stores the other stuff they have is why you go there. i go for the waffle mix. It’s the bomb!The beer is secondary. The beer guy recommended Belhaven which I thought was horrible.

Yep, its a cost plus. Prices are good for what they have, but they don’t have much that you can’t find at Bevmo.
