Rating from April 2011. This is really the only good place to get craft beer in Myrtle Beach from a store. There are a few others, but none with this selection, prices, and of course the growler fills are nice also.

Byrd’s Beer at the Pig: The best place in Myrtle Beach to find quality beer and craft brews. They have an excellent selection and a nice variety. They have the beer you won’t find anywhere else in town. Typical six-packs and four-packs, as well as individual bottles and even a Growler Station. Assistance is readily available, if needed, but these guys will let you browse without breathing down your neck. And honestly, with the variety they have, you’re going to need time to look. Get the BeerBuddy app (powered by RateBeer) to help make your selection! Excellent layout and appearance - the theme of the beer section blends in with the upscale look of this particular grocery store.

Visited this place twice over the 3 days I was at the beach. Great selection from all around, limited mix-a-six, rotating taps for 32 and 64 oz growler fills. Friendly, knowledgeable beer-specific staff. Lots of stuff I was surprised to see sitting on the shelves and prices were very, very reasonable.

This is a grocery store. But a great selection. Probably the best for Myrtle Beach. Single, six packs and a growler station. Prices are average. Nice Dog Fish selection.

Amazing selection. Growler u-fill left me envious. Did I say they have a good selection?

Very nicely laid out store and rather clean compared to the other Piggly Wiggly stores in this area. Beer selection is very nice! Great selection of bombers on the front end, and a wide variety of different fare form a wide variety of different companies. Saw a few rarities as well, namely Founders Frangelic Mountain Brown and Dogfish Head Bitches Brew. You can mix and match your own 6-pack, but the selection you can mix and match is rather limited (only two small rows worth and maybe 20 different beers tops). They have also upped their taps from 4 to 6. The major drawback for me was that the majority of beers were in the cooler, not warm. I would have bought more to bring back home to Louisville with me had there been a better warm beer selection. But overall, a great selection at a fair price, (a little high on a few too many beers). Definitely a must visit if you’re in the Myrtle Beach area.

Very nice grocery store in a newer shopping development. Solid selection of local, regional, and imported craft beer that takes up most of the back corner of the store. Handful of taps for growler fills. This place supposedly has the best selection in Myrtle Beach and although I didn’t get to go anywhere else to compare, I could see that statement being true. It was definitely a worthwhile stop to stock up on some nice stuff to have at the condo for the weekend

This is not the normal piggly wiggly most people know, I would compare it to a whole foods but better because they have taps for growler fills! There selection is great! They have some hard to find stuff, if you can’t find it there you probably won’t find it anywhere else near by.

I would have never thought this was possible. This is the best place to buy craft brew in the Myrtle Beach area...hands down. The bottle selection is expansive.....Stone, Coronado, Avery, Ballast Point, Southern Tier, Allagash, Weyerbacher, The Bruery, Unibroue, and Flying Dog to name just a small few. Some Belgians and various other imports, and hard to find ciders. They have sixers and bombers of the good stuff. They also have a pretty good selection of custom glassware from some of the better known breweries. And of course they carry all the usual suspects...domestic pig swill. The growler station is pretty cool. I believe they have 4 taps. They probably have what you are looking for if you are in the area.
