Strange tunnel of a place, you have to go down a flight of stairs to get into it. A huge tube for ventilation on the ceiling, square columns/pillars holding the tunnel roof up. Large rooms to your left and right as you walk in, the bar and food station futher along and on your left. The brewing kettles are there too. What I thought weird was the UK pub signs hanging around. I noted ’The Britannia’, ’Shrewsbury Arms’, ’Three Pigeons’ and the ’Oakdale Arms’, all fake and completely out of place, not sure why they were there? The two beers I had were both fine, a Blonde and a Swarze. Service was swift and without a smile. The place was fairly quiet apart from a large group of guys who were obviously going for it. They were filling a very long table, dining and drinking well, the occasional drinking song erupting from the ’worst for wear’ of them.

Very large cellar that houses a restaurant and a brewery. Lots of space inside, there is an elevator. Close to the main station. Service can be decent at quiet times, but is very variable, food is so-so and the beers are lousy. Take some more time and go to a better place.

Expansive bottom-level interior reminds me of Hofbrauhaus in Munich... too big, too loud, full of tourists, a hundred servers running around but none of them making eye contact or offering to take a drink order. Helles and schwarz on tap, picked the schwarz and it tasted like a rotting garbage disposal. 2 ounces in sips and I was gone. Horrible beer and depressing atmosphere.

Établissement visité le jeudi 28 juillet vers midi. Ambiance: Terrasse donnant sur la rue piétionnière. L’endroit est un immense restaurant dans un sous-sol. Service: Correct sans plus. Sélection: 2 bières maisons en fûts et 1 bière hefeweizen invitée. Nourriture: Une assiette de schnitzel au paprika et un rôti de boeuf trop salé. (168e rating d’établissement)

Was here during the Nurnberger Beer raid. A huge place that is for sure. Beers were ok nothing special but still a nice and fun place.

just dropped in quickly on my way back to Munich for a bite to eat. Service was fairly good as it was quite busy outside. The schwzarbier was reasonable, would have liked to have tried the blond...

Huge place full of people.Barfüßer Blonde was drinkable, Barfüßer Schwarze wasn’t good at all. , Food is good and big, service was little bit slow, but I think this problem of owner,because there were understaffed comparing to large place. Overall, if you are not far from pub, it’s not bad decision to stop there.

A very roomy place just in the centre of Nuremberg, so finding this shouldn’t be a problem. Their Schwarzbier is rather nice, but the others are nothing special. Its a shame they have hardly any seasonals.

Big, impersonal establishment with uninspired, mediocre and ultimately missable beers. Service is alright for the type of establishment but overall, dislike.

Been past this place many, many times on the way to Hutt’n. Stopped just once. The beers are a little poor by Franken standards and the cavernous place really lacks soul. If you seriously can’t make it up the hill to Huttn, at least just go to Andechs across the street.
