| BlackHaddock (175), , England | | April 3, 2012 Strange tunnel of a place, you have to go down a flight of stairs to get into it. A huge tube for ventilation on the ceiling, square columns/pillars holding the tunnel roof up. Large rooms to your left and right as you walk in, the bar and food station futher along and on your left. The brewing kettles are there too.
What I thought weird was the UK pub signs hanging around.
I noted ’The Britannia’, ’Shrewsbury Arms’, ’Three Pigeons’ and the ’Oakdale Arms’, all fake and completely out of place, not sure why they were there?
The two beers I had were both fine, a Blonde and a Swarze. Service was swift and without a smile.
The place was fairly quiet apart from a large group of guys who were obviously going for it. They were filling a very long table, dining and drinking well, the occasional drinking song erupting from the ’worst for wear’ of them.
