| BierBauch (30), Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida | | July 13, 2011 [ Updated August 16, 2011 ] Without question the largest selection of craft beer in the Southwest of Florida to date. I’ve never seen LaTrappe Quad on tap anywhere before along with St Bernatdus 12, Lots to choose from including top notch IPA’s along with Belgians and stouts. A few wheats are also available. Food was average and my biggest complaint is the menu which is loaded with Italian dishes. Not really the best pairings with the beers. The service was decent with a knowledgable bartend. Overall if you’re looking for athe best selec
tion of good craft beer in SWF, this is the place! | | adam42381 (30), Fort Myers, Florida | | June 13, 2011 We stopped by after receiving a recommendation from the bartender at The Pub Naples. We were not disappointed.
The beer selection was top notch for the area, the bar was very big and the service was great. We were glad to see Cigar City on tap including Oatmeal Raisin Cookie which we’ve only seen at the Cigar City taproom in Tampa. I ended up drinking Jai Alai and Undercover Investigation Shutdown Ale from Lagunitas while the wife drank Oatmeal Raisin Cookie.
If you go, get the cheesesteaks with Cheez Whiz. They’re the best I’ve had since I visited Jim’s in Philly. I can’t recommend this place enough. | | Shonkers (13), Parkland, Florida | | May 24, 2011 Took a trip across the state from the east coast of S. FL just to try this place, based on the stellar ratings found here on RateBeer. Great selection (especially for S. FL, as a previous rater indicated) of beers on tap, superb service, great ambiance, and fantastic pizza. Loved it. Wish we had one of these pubs over in the Coral Springs/Parkland area... | | Boesky (35), Galesburg, Illinois | | April 13, 2011 An oasis in the desert of SW FL craft beer purveyors. Discovered South Street this past winter, while spending some quality time in Naples. Pretty much has everything: a wide selection of craft beer, excellent pub grub, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and live music. Daily food specials and long Happy Hour make it a decent value as well. The only suggestion I might make is to rotate a few more handles, as many of them are dedicated to specific (albeit wonderful) beers. Looking forward to coming back next winter! | | illinismitty (275), Nashville, Tennessee | | March 19, 2011 Located in a strip mall right at the corner of Pine Ridge and Goodlett Frank, this place has sort of a chain like ambiance, but with local patrons. The tap selection is much improved, with about 20 or so craft beers on tap, including Cigar City, Bells, Southern Tier, Dogfish Head, etc. Best tap selection in Naples that I have found, and much more interesting than Pub Naples. I had their sliders and they were excellent. I did not try the pizza, but it looked good. This will be a regular stop for me when I come to Naples. | Jdredd (2), does not count - explanation | | June 21, 2010 I’ve been going to South Street since they opened a few years ago, it’s a neighborhood staple here in Naples. It’s got a HUGE bar (maybe 50 seats?) made out of granite that makes it one of the nicest and biggest bars in Naples. About six months ago they expanded their draft beer list from 10 to 24. They now have about 18 craft beers on draft, mostly from American breweries. Their staff, especially Ashley and Dan, are very knowledgeable about their beers (very refreshing) and are always eager to let me sample the newest selection. What I really like is that they have two rotating taps that change frequently. Apparently they only hook up a 1/6 or 1/2 barrel, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Besides the beer, they have the best pizza in town and awesome cheesesteaks too (it’s a Philly/Northeastern bar). It’s always been a very comfortable place to be, a local hangout (although it seems they have been getting a lot busier since they added the new beers), and they have live music 7 nights a week. If you’re there Mon - Thurs from 10pm - 2am, they do a late night Happy Hour (a lot of service industry down here) and all pints of craft beer are $4. |
