5 reviews for Broadway Brewhouse and Mojo Grill (Downtown)
| curly (12), Nashville, Tennessee | | January 7, 2010 Not as good of a selection as the other Broadway Brewhouse. I was at a table and watched the waitress pour my and my friends beer, set them down near the bar, walk off and do other things like run people food and beer, whilst my beer is still sitting in my plain view. I just got up and took them myself. Oh well, that didn’t sour me too much because it was pretty busy, but the selection was lacking and not very special, like being at Kroger or Publix. Didn’t get food here but imagine it is pretty good. | | stoad (21), laguna niguel, California | | December 28, 2008 Wow. Can you say s.m.o.k.e.y? I mean without coughing part way through... The wife left about 3 sips into my pint. They had a lot of tap handles, but nothing too exciting. I had a 60 min IPA but it was pretty stale - either a slow seller or lack of beer hygiene. Didn’t try a second. Better selection than most of the "Nash Vegas" (yes, they really call it that) strip area would be its only redeeming quality. | | Butters (151), Virginia | | October 12, 2008 Smoke filled sports bar. The tap lineup looked impressive, but upon closer inspection, there wasn’t anything to be excited about. Lots of macro seasonals and a few regional micros. The service was EXTREMELY fast, even though it was pretty crowded. My wife and I split a chicken fingers basket, and it was very average in all respects. Overall, nothing special, but you could do WAY worse when looking for a beer bar downtown. | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | July 23, 2007 I hit this place with the wife and father-in-law on a Thursday night. Compared to the other location, the crowd is older and the bartenders are not as rude. Considering the location, it is also filled with tourists. Interior is a typical old building sports bar renovation- brick walls, hardwood floors, neon beer signs, flat screen tvs, etc. There are about 70 taps, but only 10 or so are regional micros (Blackstone, Terrapin, and Yazoo). The rest is stuff like BMC, Guinness, Sam Adams, Red Hook, Heineken, Blue Moon, Pyramid, etc. The bottle cooler was all macros. Service at the bar was good, and the bartender kept our drinks full. Perhaps a little loud and smoky for my tastes. Even though there are 70 taps, there is nothing here you can’t find elsewhere in town. If you are visiting, I would walk a few blocks to Big River Grille, or take a short cab ride to Flying Saucer (or walk it). However, I can see myself hitting this place again when I am forced to take my out of town guests barhopping in the 2nd ave district. | | allfreej (62), Louisville, Kentucky | | November 19, 2006 [ Updated April 14, 2008 ] Couldn’t find a phone number. Located in the downtown section of Nashville. The staff was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was more sports bar than pub (though it was a Sunday night during football season, so go figure). Seventy taps, though not all were available. A nice selection of well-known micros as well as regional beers not widely available. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The Sunday night special2 for 1 draftswas really outstanding. The only drawback from my viewpoint was the lack of a non-smoking section. I didn’t get the college-bar feel that other reviewers noted at the 1900 Broadway location. Worth a look. |
