| Rustyham (84), Nashville, Tennessee | | May 28, 2010 The liquor side had an abysmal selection of high ABVs, there were the basic Belgians (Chimay, Delerium) but no St. Bernardus. It’s like they bought the starter package from the distributor. The selection of Boulevard 750’s was less than Ideal. Basically, you don’t need to look here.
The beer side, though, had a great arrangement of low ABVs that i had never seen and probably won’t find anywhere else. It’s really focused on beers fro the south. But like another reviewer said, they won’t let you break a six, which sucks because there are so many individual beers I would want to buy. Worth the visit if you are prepared to buy a six or 4 pack of something. | | curly (114), Seattle (Newcastle), Washington | | March 2, 2009 The low alc selection is better here than the high alc side, but neither allow you to break 6-packs. That itself is enough to keep me from returning. The beer side had literally 8 beers to choose from in their "Mix A Six" section. The liquor side has the normal singles but mostly everything that comes in a 6 or 4 pack is only sold that way, come on that is lame. There are some pretty obscure low alcs here though. | | nqualls (35), Nashville, Tennessee | | January 3, 2009 The beer store side doesn’t have too much to offer other than sixers of the regular, widely available stuff. The liquor store side occasionally has something different and hard to find, but very rarely. The prices are better than Frugal’s and Midtown, but the selection is inferior. | | Butters (164), Richmond, Virginia | | October 29, 2008 Selection was pretty good on the beer side, but not so much on the liquor side. The staff offered me help, but just let me browse without bothering me, so that was nice. Cheapest prices I’ve seen in town though. They had the whole boulevard smokestack series for only $7 each! | | StewardofGondor (122), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | March 16, 2006 Waste of time. They had a few sixers of semi-decent stuff, but I really feel for these Tennessee natives. The Stone IPA and Arrogant Bastard were pretty much the only hightlights, and they woulnd’t let me break up sixers. The usual Chimay and some Unibroue, but nothing worth stopping for. I’d recommend Midtown over this place. | | illinismitty (275), Nashville, Tennessee | | January 18, 2006 [ Updated July 7, 2006 ] Located of I-24 near the airport. The beer side has a respectable selection for Tennessee, but they do not break sixers. I mean, you can only sell what you distributer can get. The liquor store side used to keep up with the competition. But lately, Midtown and Frugal are carrying a better selection, and are getting more beers. Maybe they are phasing out the high ABV beers? Plus they are not answering my emails anymore as to what is coming in. As of 7-6-06, I say you hit Midtown if you are in Nashville. That’s your best bet. As far as the <6%, beer store. it is comparable. | | BeerHawk (52), Huntsville, Alabama | | September 19, 2005 Typical Tennessee beer store with the split beer and liquor (Over 6% on the liquor side). The beer side has a notable selection with a good portion of it chilled if wanted. I’ve been to this place 3 times now and I swear the over 6% is growing a little. Had 5 different Stone Brewery selections, one of that was available in bombers or sixers. Some over 6% was available chilled also. Courteous and helpful staff. | | Suttree (120), Knoxville, Tennessee | | November 3, 2004 Visited in Feb 04. Warehouse like atmosphere, but the staff seemed to know their selection pretty well. Decent selection of under 6% beers, with singles and sixers available. The liquor side was a bit more upscale, but the selection of over 6% beers was smaller. | | SpringsLicker (101), Tennessee | | March 24, 2004 [ Updated March 27, 2004 ] Very limited selection of big beers in the liquor store, but a fairly good variety in the beer side. Also sell singles and some homebrew supplies. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. |
