| beerme31 (14), Apex, North Carolina | | April 7, 2012 12 or so Yazoo brews on tap. nice tap, room, enjoyable tour. | | IndyBeerSnob (13), Nashville, Tennessee | | February 18, 2012 Cool place to go and drink a solid beer. That’s about it! No Tv’s, no food, just great beer! I ordered an Onward Stout Nitro pour and got a Co2 pour. That was weird I made him change the beer. Things like that should never happen at a brewery. Good variety of beers | | Spookgolds (11), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | September 4, 2011 this was my first visit, but I should have come here much sooner. Took a tour, which was pretty good. (*on a side note, if you want to tour, I HIGHLY suggest reserving tickets the monday before you want to go as they sell out fast. They do allow walk ups, but they sell out fast as well) As a home brewer I am very familiar with the beer making process, I am just interested in seeing individual places and how they make THEIR crafts. I’m not sure how crowded it normally gets, but I was there on labor day weekend saturday, and it looked pretty crowded to me, although this made no difference because the bar staff was very helpful and attentive. We never had to wait for service which was a big plus. Overall this was a great place, and it’s good to see they are growing. Maybe one day I will see Yazoo in Philly beer stores. | | b79turner (24), Alabama | | August 7, 2011 My wife and I stopped by to try a few of their beers. Unfortunately we weren’t able to try much, as they stop serving fairly early. Overall, great impression. I’d love to go back and do a tour. | | tronraner (110), Walland, Tennessee | | July 7, 2011 Very cozy tasting room with ample seating and good view of the brewery. Nice place to grab a Yazoo special offering and chill for a few minutes. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, even when the place was quite busy (since all their business is concentrated into pretty tight hours). Pleasant experience. | | curly (114), Seattle (Newcastle), Washington | | December 9, 2010 I can’t believe it took me so long to come to this place. The tap selection was nice, pretty much everything they brew minus Sue for legal reasons. Very friendly people working here, great atmosphere. | | bleeng (102), Houston nowhere near Beersel, Texas | | November 21, 2010 Brewery is located in a warehouse/business district near downtown Nashville. Large tasting room with outside seating. Basic beer selection that does not include their high gravity beers (such as Sue) due to arcane TN liquor laws. Good place to drop by and sample beers. No food. Service was good and samples are available for free if you ask. Brewery tours available. | | maltdog (68), Colorado | | October 10, 2010 New location. Parking was a real problem. Spacious if somewhat barebones tasting room, plus outside patio. It was infuriating that, despite being first in line/belly up to the bar, it took literally 15 minutes to be aknowledged, and there were at least 20 more people behind us. To be fair it was pretty busy, but there were 4 bartenders "bustling", but who only managed to fill a couple of samplers and 3 or 4 growlers in that time. Don’t bother with the "tour", it was by far the worst I’ve ever been on.. although bubbly, our tour guide was utterly clueless and a fountain of misinformation; every aspect of the brewing process and most of the terminology she used was absurd . But overall I imagine it would be pleasant on a less busy day. | | NachlamSie (357), Tennessee | | August 23, 2010 I visited the newly opened location. The brewery is in a cool warehouse location with a very large tasting room and a patio.Parking was not an issue at all when I went even though there was a decent sized crowd here. There were 6 taps on but sadly no Sue which Yazoo should legally be able to sell now that they are recognized as a distillery. I hear she’s on the way soon. The ambiance is warm with lots of brick and art. Yazoo is one of the better breweries in the state and it’s cool to go check out the facility. I’ll probably be back. | | Boungustatio (18), | | June 22, 2010 Located in an old motor vehicle factory in midtown west - the place has tons of character/ambiance/vibe. Outdoor patio/rock garden allows consumers to have a cigarette, enjoy the night air and bask in all that is Yazoo.
They sell flights of their entire beer lineup. Always have something limited/exclusive on tap: Hop Project & Tribute brews.
They offer tours of the brewery - walk through the brew warehouse and taste growler of fresh beer out the tank and you get to keep your Yazoo glassware.
They sell beer merch, growlers, growler chillers, signs, shirts, etc.
Friendly and attentive staff - great attitude and vibe.
You can enjoy a cheese and nut plate while you imbibe in their craft.
This place has quite a following of local growler customers in the local community - can get crowded but great service. |
