| auderale (58), Bitburg, Germany | | April 30, 2010 Great selection of beers. A definite must stop if you are ever through NC. Will make a stop here when I get back in town. | | cheapdark (128), Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania | | November 29, 2008 Well, I wasn’t expecting much of a place by the looks of it from the outside. It’s located in a strip mall of sorts. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the organization and the choice of brews. They do have lots of macro stuff here but they also have 3+ coolers of craft & import bottles from which you can make a six pack from. I have difficulty at my local bottle shop finding new brews but here I easily made a sixer out of beers I’ve never tasted. Very friendly and knowledgable girls to elp also. I didn’t get any food, but there there is a to go grill in the back if you want some wings or burgers or stuff. Good experience, never thought I’d find a place like this in New Castle. Oh, yea. Did I mention the prices were quite nice too? | | MrBunn (67), Western, Pennsylvania | | August 15, 2007 [ Updated December 19, 2007 ] Well, for a place in PA where you can buy singles for fairly reasonable prices, this is one of very few options. It has the requisite restuarant features so they can sell beer, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone walk away with food. They recently redid a bunch of the store (err restuarant?) and there are lots of coolers now. Most have 12 packs of Bud Lite and kin, but there is a row with singles that range from $1 each to $2. Most are priced at $1.50 and you can find Bells, Victory, Dogfishhead, and some local stuff in the mix. They also have a few larger bombers or more rare stuff, but those are so hit or miss that I wouldn’t count on it. |
