potestethehero (1), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | April 23, 2012 Great find - Highly Recommended. Go to the downstairs bar though, the upstairs feels a bit more like the Miller Lite type of crowd. | pghbeerlover (4), Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | April 16, 2012 What a find this place was. I walked into the upper level bar which has a bar to the right, small dining area with pool table to the left. Behind the bar was a massive tap system with 40 taps and then a seperate 6 tap system for fruit beers. I also noticed 2 large coolers behind the bar with a nice selection of 12oz bottles and bombers. After tasting some drafts I decided to look at a menu. I ordered the steak & sausage which someone at the bar suggested and it was excellent. Then as I was about to leave the bartender suggested I go check out the downstairs. WHAT! A downstairs to this great place? So if you walk through the diningroom in the back (which seemed to have about 13 tables and through a door you go down the steps and a hallway. Almost like your going to a hidden room and there it was. A small bar with a massive cooler. I think 14 doors in all. looked like 25 or so more taps, a warm storage areas for beers and the manager was there who was telling me about the beer cellar they have in another room. I am JEALOUS they are cellaring some great beers but won’t sell them until this winter when they open that room. Just when I thought I had died and went to heaven I was pulling out of the lot and looked to the back of the building. 2 HUGE Decks with out door seating. I may have found my new beer hang out for the summer. This place is a must go! And make sure you get an employee to show you every inch, because just when you thought you have seen it all there is more. | | cheapdark (128), Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania | | December 23, 2011 Used to be called simply beermuda, before the cellar opened as a take out. This rating is from jan 2011: Seems everybody wants to make a buck gettin in on the craft beer niche. Typical old steel town bar but they do have a nice selection of bottles and they are not too expensive. After nearly 2000 ratings, I did see a couple I had not rated before. Help was quite friendly. |
