The beer list isn’t great but the food is fantastic. Nice whiskey selection as well. Tough to get a table on a weekend night.

A nice BBQ restaurant with a better then average beer selection for a restaurant, but nothing crazy exciting. It isn’t significantly better selection-wise then the vast majority of restaurants in the NYC area, but that is more of a compliment to the selection of beers available in the area then an insult to this establishment.

I’m surprised this place hasn’t been added to the database sooner. As a restaurant this place is fantastic, one of the best barbecue spots in NYC, and as a beer restaurant it more than holds its own. The draft line-up had stuff from good craft brewers. On my visit I had the Brooklyn Concoction. The bottle range has lots of normal stuff (Leffe, Chimay, etc.) but there is also lots of less common stuff to choose from. I had a rib sampler platter and it was great. In terms of ambience and service Blue Smoke is definitely top-shelf. The prices are not cheap but they aren’t too bad either (you could get a half-rack of ribs for about $15). So, for any barbecue-beer lovers out there, I highly recommend this place.
