58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 rosenbergh (334) Helsinki, Finland | September 8, 2012 Visited on Monday midday. Few customers. Slow service. It was a bit hard to tell who’s customer and who’s one of the staff. Some people were swimmingly drinking on both sides of the bar... The place felt a bit empty and soulless. 6 taps. Spent 3 beers there only because it was pouring outside. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 blipp (78) Newark, New Jersey | April 9, 2012 Great location on the water. The beers range from average so slightly above average if you’re lucky. I’ve only ever been here in the afternoon, so I’ve never seen it busy. That being said I’ve enjoyed good service the few times I’ve been here. Probably not really worth going out of your way for, but I’ll always pop my head in if I’m in the neighborhood and see if I can grab a tick or two. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 puzzl (123) New York, New York | September 3, 2011 Terrible food, mediocre beer, great location. I’d only recommend this place if you really wanted to tick, or possibly if you were in the area already. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 ladnewton (144) London, England | July 29, 2011 Visited on 28th July 2011. Large brewpub on the harbour. Friendly staff and drinkers. Offers picturesque harbour views across the Hudson. Full range of current Chelsea beers on tap, and a varied food menu to suit most if not all tastes. Of the beers I tried the Black Hole Stout was the best. Great music selection. Screens showing dirtbike riding amongst other sports. I liked the venue. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (389) London, England | July 28, 2011 Came here in early 2010 for Customer Appreciation night. Draft pints were $2 on this night and I had several. I thought the beers were all very decent. The place itself is nice, plenty of seating. They have a full menu, though I didn’t eat anything on my visit. Bartenders were great. Definitely worth checking out. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 ndon (52) London, England | September 27, 2010 was here in August 2009. couple of decent beers, good staff, decent food. was pretty good after a couple of hours in the batting cages next door. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 caesar (224) Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands | May 27, 2010 Large place at chelsea piers. Visited on an early tuesday afternoon, weather was not great. So the place was pretty empty. Still, the brewer was around and we had a nice chat about the beers. Beers weren’t too outstanding, but the brewer was nice company and served us his best session ales, which I could drink all day. Nourriture: Nous avons pris "Pier 59 salad" et "Tequila grilled shrimps" (147e rating d’établissement) | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 CUJO (19) Brooklyn, New York | October 13, 2009 The fact that I didn’t even know there was an active brewery on the island doesn’t say much for the publicity on this place. Showed up via the Chelsea Cask Festival and was pleasantly suprised. The place is very clean and has a rather nice display of their operations. Massive ceiling to floor windows overlook the Hudson, and there’s a small patio outside as well... perfect venue for boozing! The event was well organized and the staff was friendly, not necessarily knowledgeable though. Others in my group had some bar food which they claim was great. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 Pwn3d (62) Manhattan, New York | October 11, 2009 I always went elsewhere in search of beer.. mostly bc it’s horrible rating on RB. But, when I heard Chelsea Brewing Co was hosting an all weekend Cask Ale Festival (40+ casks).. I couldn’t think of a better chase to check out the digs! Surprised is an understatement.. Large, clean, definitely a place that makes you want to throw a few down. There is a sick waterfront patio with ample benches and tables available. I can’t comment on the selection, because I was there for the festival.. though I’ve had there beers before and they range from OK to very good. Nachos rocked. Staff was excellent and prices were nice. |
