Pleasant little bar in Midtown (East side). Knowledgeable and friendly bar tender. Dimly lit, younger crowd. Good beers on. Seemed pretty decent for the area (but I am an out of towner). Everything from a mild to Oak Aged Pumking. They do serve food, but I didn’t try any. Prices were decent. Sampling flight (4x6oz) available as well. Good stop.

Very cool bar with great deals next my midtown hotel. Was very surprised and happy to find this. Had a nice Lagunitas Imperial Stout on Cask. Later a Brooklyn Cascade. Well done.

decent place. 300 bottles and 16 taps. nice decor... sort of a clean, rustic mod feel. Prices seem expensive, though they have an extended happy hour with a few specials, so its not bad for mid-town. I’ll come back, but in a great beer city like NY, its not worth going out of the way for.

My new neighborhood hangout, best selection of beer in Midtown east. It has 4 and 5 dollar drafts of craft beer during happyhour. Beer events i was there for free allagash tasting and they had 8 allagash brews on tap and free food which was nice. there is an outside biergarten and is a block away from my apt. sweet

Solid bar and restaurant. They tend to have great stuff on tap and routinely hold brewery events, during which they often put out free munchies. The Stag’s Head also occasionally offers great deals on beers. I once got a Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout for $4.00! In 2010! I haven’t ordered food before but there seems to be some good things on the menu.

Dark and woody midtown beer bar. Bar is very small with only about 8 seats, but the rest of the interior has plenty of seating. Beer selection is decent, but they only have about 10 taps and the quality of brews was average at best. Food was above average for bar food, great burger.

In my imagination, New York City is full of places like this. We walked in at some time after 1 AM on a Sunday night and the place was a chill basement with a friendly bartender, a good set of craft taps, empty but for a group of stylishly laid-back NYC girls with nothing better to do on a Sunday night. In my imagination, I lived just up the block from a place like this for a couple of years in my late 20’s. A shame that I missed that particular train.

Nice clean attractive pub setting. The place is a little small when there’s a crowd. Decent selection of craft beers, maybe a handful are hard to come by. But, they do have occasional events where they showcase unusual beers. The have a great happy hour from 11-7 p.m. ($4 or $5 pints). After that, the pints are a little pricey. Very good food also. Service was pleasant and prompt. Nice place, and especially reasonable for midtown Manhattan.
