A good place... more beer selection than the Union square location and significantly less crowded. There’s at least 2 beer shelves throughout the store, so don’t stop at the beer at the front.

Of the NYC Whole Foods stores, this one is the best for buying beer. Excellent selection, reasonable prices - especially if you take advantage of their tap lines and fill up your growler there. They occasionally have samplings, which is cool. A great spot to find beer from across the United States and around the world.

What every grocery store should aim for- a separate room/store that carries neat shelves of quality beer and even supplies growlers. And the staff won’t bother you if you wish to casually browse. Finally a place for New Yorkers to stock up on some cheap-ER craft beer in the City. #16 on 12102009 DG.

Beer selection quiet good if you compare to other grocery stores but average comparing to beer ones. I am guessing prices are decent for NY but from my perspective just average. Staff was fairly knowledgeable but not very attentive if they don’t know you.

My review is basically wow, a whole beer store, a beer store in and of itself as part of a whole foods that has draft beers and growler fills, wow. I went through the whole place, decided to refrain from buying, not that I was not tempted, but damn, and pricing is relatively good by New York Standards. well worth a visit, to me as an ex-nycer an ex east village guy, this place made me want to cry and ask why the hell wasn’t it there when I was in town?

While New Beers is very good. I feel like this place is more on top of new releases. Plus its a lot nicer.

Beer store se trouvant dans une belle et grande épicerie. Ils ont une grande sélection de bières surtout américaines, mais ont également un présentoir incluant des bières de différent pays. Ce qui est dommage avec cette place c’est que les prix sont très élevés. Ils ont quand même des bières qu’on ne peut trouver au new beer distributors tout près, donc je vous conseil de commencer votre magasinage au new beer et de terminer au whole food si votre budget le permet. J’ai quand même réussi à dénicher une abbaye des rocs, une goose island bourbon county stout, plusieurs avery et quelques autres bonne bières.

the place is clean and nice enough. they have growler service and usually offer good variety and surprise you from time to time. There is a good assortment of different bottles. the service is good as is the food here. they are in nyc so they are expensive but overall a pretty good place, of course it is not better than New Beer Dist. two blocks down.

Awesome bottle collection, wide selection with reasonable prices (considering the city). A few interesting draft beers to choose from to fill up growlers. Awesome beer store.

Very impressive, interesting that the best part of the store front is given to their beer room. Fine selection of US and imports, very impressive growler filling station. Maybe a sampler system could be an idea before ordering a growler? Combine this with the Beer Distributors down the road, and you’ll have plenty!
