Somehow they managed to stick a decent little bar in this Whole Foods while at the same time having a really mediocre bottle selection. I’m not sure how they managed to pull that off, but they did. They only have about 10 taps, but they were a nice mix of local and interesting brews (a few examples from my visit: Brooklyn Marys Maple Porter, Nuggett Nectar, etc). I then headed over the bottle selection with the hope of picking up a half decent Captain Lawrence offering or something, and it is tiny and lacking anything really interesting. For example, the only Captain Lawrence was the Xtra Gold. The "On Tap" area is worth a visit, and sadly there aren’t much better option in the neighborhood for bottles, but the bottle selection is pretty poor and the place is a zoo...

Not a destination but certainly worth a stop. I thought i had already finished my beer shopping, but I stopped here on a whim for lunch and surprisingly added a Cigar City Guava Grove and Humidor Jai Alai to my haul. Jam packed at all times, not a place in which to spend more time than you have to. Really don’t understand how they can have a better selection at their bar inside the store and not have those bottles for sale. Also, sitting in a Whole Foods drinking is about one of the least appealing things I can think of.

Interesting place. Basement of the Time Warner building. Kind of hectic with people and very scattered in lay out. Big store. Beer bottle selection is decent, but not great. Shelf tags said they had King Henry which would have been nice, but I couldn’t find it. No singles or way to break a six pack. At the complete opposite end of the store is the "On Tap" Bar. 8 taps, 1 beer engine/cask and 106 single bottles and/or cans. All beers from tap are served in pints (weather it be a 4% Hefe or a 10% Imperial Stout), sample size (4x 5oz pours for $12+tax), or in 32oz or 64oz growlers. Bottled beer selection is oddly different than the bottle side of the store (apparently a different beer buyer too). These bottles are not available to go (bummer). Staff at both the check out and at the bar were somewhat to very inattentive. Not a bad stop, but not a great one either.

I occassionally pick up a bottle from here when I happen to be food-shopping in the first place. Nice selection - nothing incredible but solid for a supermarket. They just opened up a bar, "On Tap" which has a more extensive bottle list and nice draft offerings. I’m not sure if there’s a separate RB entry for this yet.

As with the other Whole Foods locations in the City, this one has a solid selection of beers at decent prices. You won’t likely find anything rare but there is still plenty of good stuff. And, obviously, the food in here is great, too.

My first time in a Whole Food store. Very impressed by the choice of beers which may not be that extensive but really everything in here was a clear winner. Price seemed to be in line with what I am used to but again I don’t shop in NY everyday. I am not sure if anybody could have helped me but there was lot of staff around. I would definitely go back for beer (as well as the food which looked great)

Located in the basement of the Time Warner mall. Small area dedicated to beer but a really impressive collection. Found many brews that I’ve been searching for including one that I couldn’t find at home in Canada and it’s brewed in Canada. Busy as hell though but with 40 or so cashiers, the line moves quickly. I’d definitely go back.

Great selection of beers. Prices not too bad for NYC either. They have a fantastic selection of Belgiums. Over all some great beers.

Good beer selection, even some seasonal beers at nice discount prices. Your bill will be higher than the beer cost, though, as the food counters are too mouthwatering to pass by without picking up some! If you are in the area, you should stop by!

This has the smallest beer selection of the Whole Foods in Manhattan, but it’s still a decent spot.
