Decent enough bbq. Beer list leaves something to desire if you are looking for a craft list. There are usually one or two decent drafts, for the craft beer drinker though.

Stopped in for dinner prior to Devils game. It was packed and staff didnít handle well. Food is great. Selection was only ok.. Itís a beautiful old building and defiantly worth a stop but probably choose better hours

Hard to rate Dinosaur well as a beer bar, but the food is fantastic. Best BBQ Iíve ever had in the North. Beer selection is very small but there are usually a few craft options. Prices are fine for what it is and they have great catering packages as well. Ignore the score in my rating and make sure you go here if you have the chance because the food is well worth it.

If we were rating BBQ places my score would be much higher...but alas...we are rating craftbeer places...and as a craftbeer destination...this is not one. Still...the fact that you can even get mightly good BBQ north of the Mason Dixon Line with a decent beer to wash it down...in Newark no less (thanks to The Rock of course)...is something to praise. Years ago I used to frequent their original place in Syracuse...now thatís worth a side trip and a half...tons of character and history. Iíve been a little generous in my score here due to that history. Good choice when going to The Rock...not worth a special trip if you are searching out craftbeers though.

This is the first time I have visited one of the Dinosaur BBQ locations. The BBQ is excellent, right up there with anything I have in the NYC area. The draft list was decent, they have a few from Syracuse and some other micros. It is not a beer destination by any means though, it is a BBQ destination with a decent beer list.

Brand-new restaurant in the heart of Newark, NJ, just off Devilís Plaza on Market Street. You can see this place from Penn Station, and itís exactly what we needed around here - excellent BBQ food, casual atmosphere and bar, friendly & professional staff, and a variety of quality beers on tap. Flying Fish, Ramstein, River Horse, Cricket Hill, Victory, Blue Point, Brooklyn, and others are all represented here. Major step forward for Newark!
