| msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | April 22, 2012 Let me say this place has the best selection I have seen in the Norman/OKC area by far. Huge singles selection and nice variety of local special releases. Picked up a Rye-on-Rye, Cuvee 4, and a Marshall Cucuy. Didn’t think the prices were too high as stated in some other reviews. Must stop if traveling through Norman. | | Bricktop86 (10), Moore, Oklahoma | | April 18, 2012 [ Updated May 21, 2012 ] The best selection you will find in Norman and probably OK. Prices are a bit higher than the others but you will find a lot of stuff you can’t find in other stores. The staff is not as good as it used to be. | TheBrewGuru (2), Norman, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | February 23, 2012 This place is wide open with not a lot to it. They look and give you the impression they’re the biggest in town with the best selection and best prices but when you are looking for something new and the staff doesn’t even know what you’re talking about it makes it hard to go back. And I way overspent there as I found out later! By a lot! | notmarr2000 (7), Lawton, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | August 31, 2011 Very good selection. Wall of singles. Prices are pretty good (but much cheaper than Cache Rd. store in Lawton). I would rate as the top store in the OKC area. | | blutt59 (121), Dallas, Texas | | August 11, 2011 Closest good store to the border with huge wall of singles and bombers, euro section is smaller but have tons of local /regional selections, check the end cap specialty stand for a few more | swanmann (4), Norman, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | March 30, 2010 I’ve watched the selection at this store grow and grow. Regional and craft brews are strongly represented with Boulevard, Choc/ Pete’s Place, Rogue, Avery, etc. Not to mention plenty of imports from Belgium, Mexico, UK, France. No hurry and plenty of space. Plus prices are about the best they can be. I think it’s really everything you could want out of an Oklahoma seller, although some brewers won’t ship to our state. Strike up a conversation and see where it can lead you. The staff loves to help you find what you want. | Lawsonciv (3), Norman, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | November 9, 2009 [ Updated November 16, 2009 ] My favorite place to go and get beer. Huge selection of singles. Huge selection of six packs. I guess for Oklahoma they have everything you can get. Once I started going here for beer, I haven’t been anywhere else. | | troyc (147), Oklahoma | | September 16, 2008 [ Updated April 21, 2010 ] Update:
They now have an excellent selection of singles including locals. Some of them are a little hard to find for the area as well.
Old Rating:
A good place to stop in town for a 6-pack of beer. A decent selection, but not as good as Joe’s Place. Prices are pretty good. I found that singles are harder to come by here compared to other places in town though. | | triumphrider74 (11), Norman, Oklahoma | | July 30, 2008 [ Updated January 13, 2011 ] I had to revise my review based on a recent experience. The Cellar tends to charge more for beer ala carte than they do in a case and on top of this two different cashiers have tried overcharging me on two different occasions. I get the feeling that they are greedy. When I didn’t want to use my debit card because I had cash in the car and went out to get it, one of the staff gave me a dirty look. Sorry, Cellar. I won’t be back. EVER. Douchebags. | | Lumpy (50), Carrollton, Texas | | November 27, 2007 Very large, very open, clean, warehouse looking store. Surprisingly good selection considering the location. Decent selection of Belgians, locals, and other odd beers. If you are into cheap Russian pale lagers, congrats, you have found your Mecca. If I lived in Norman, this is probably where I would come for beer. |
