Located in a shopping center across the street from a trailer park which isn’t a value judgement merely a statement of fact. Beer is on the two far right aisles and the back coolers. Organization was haphazard and some of the bottles were a bit dusty. They do had some interesting beers but the great majority of what they have you can find at Johns.

This was a few miles off I-80 and was easy to find. Pretty good selection and prices, between this and John’s, this is a good alternative, it even has a few beers that John’s didn’t carry or have in stock. I’ll have to go back again, it was a pretty good beer/wine/spirits store.

Set up like your basic strip mall liquor store. Employees friendly but didn’t do much except ring things up. Fairly long rack of domestic craft beer, with a smaller shelf of Belgian, German, UK and others. I was impressed with their selection.

On another new visit, this place continues to improve their selection. All new stuff I want to try and not a bunch of stuff I don’t want. This place continues to impress me and as it is much more accessible with a nicer presentation, I now prefer it to John’s. I visited here after being gone from the area for nearly two years. The store was improving when I left and has only gotten better. They are getting more domestic specialty brews as well as some better imports. The coolers have more shelf space and less of the the beer gets exposed to light on the shelf. I find this place less claustrophobic than John’s and also, it is easier to get in and out. I will stop in again next time I am up that way.

Always a must stop for me when I am back in the Iowa City area. This place just opened a few years ago but has already expanded. The beer selection is probably the second best in the area (second to John’s Grocery) and the owner is always more than willing to help with finding a beer. I always come here to get Sam Adams Tripel Bock. They also have imports and micros as well as the standard domestic macros.
