In fact this is a perfect combo of a good swiss/german restaurant and a biergarten. Prices are reasonably low and quality very high. An excelent selection of biers from all over the world and from small cities of Brazil that are now begining to join the mini breweries’ world. They take their beer business very seriously and produce a good pilsner which carries the name of the restaurant and the flag of the city of Nova Friurgo.

This is "the place" in Brazil for beer lovers. The selection is outstanding and includes beers from all over the country and from a couple of dozens of other nations. The ambience is typical german and very coozy and the quality of the food, excelent. I don’t think it is expensive at all and the sophistication of this restaurant goes from top quality glassware to napkins and confort.It is a must for anyone travelling to the State of Rio de Janeiro .

Excelente restaurante alemão, com uma biergarten de dar inveja. Um dos melhores lugares para beber boa cerveja no Rio de Janeiro. Peca um pouco pela comida (porções muito pequenas de custo elevado), mas mesmo assim de boa qualidade.

Great tip. It’s a real paradise for beer lovers. I found beers from all over the world and many options from Brazilian mini breweries. The restaurant serves good german food and it is located at a mini strip mall that looks like an european village.

Typicall german restaurant with biergarden and european enviroment. The huge selection of local and imported beers make this place unique in Brazil. It is well known to cariocas that often travel to Friburgo just to try different beers that cannot be found in bigger cities like Rio and Sao Paulo. This place is definetely a must for beer lovers.
