This is an old diry run down store, that reminds me of a hillbilly place in West Texas. Ghetto. Selection is terrible almost all 6 packs of nothing special. The few bottles they had looked so old and dusty I wouldn’t even have bought even if I found something I wanted. On the bright side they did have 24 packs of Moose Light Lime.

Small store in a tiny strip mall. The place is dimly lit, smells like a corpse, and the stock is a mess. The slection of beer remains constant, because it’s all ancient and skunked, thus never moves. The owners don’t seem to care either. They just tend to discount the skunked beer in the hopes that it will sell. I cannot count on my fingers how many time I’ve gotten skunked crap from here. I have heard many people talk about a mix-a-six section here, but I have never seen it...Maybe that’s the because the owner spends the whole time up your ass as if you plan on robbing him, so that’s all I see. Seriously now, when was the last time Three Floyds Gumballhead came in bombers? How f*cking old are those bottles?

Stopped here awhile ago on a quest for vintage Goudenband. Found some, but all four bottles were flat. These were in the cooler, and after reading other reviews, I doubt they rotate stock much. Don’t go out of your way to stop here. Otherwise there is an ok selection, some sticky bottles on the shelf though. A museum of sorts... This is #2 shop on the Beer Tour Chicago page, that’s gotta be a joke...?

This is my everyday liquor store. It is deceiving a bit on the outside, and the inside for that matter, but the selection of micro’s and craft brews is very nice. The staff is actually quite nice, and they go check their inventory whenever you ask for a certain beer, and they let you know when shipments of the anticipated beers are coming. Very nice considering its right around the block.

Small store front, NOT crowded on Saturday night (wonder why)? Good selection, what I found here, I did not find at Kenwood and but Kenwood had what Foremost does not have. Trade off. A lot of the bottles covered with dust, not a very good sign sitting out in the light for a long period of time...I would not go out of my way to go here but stop in if in the hood.

Small beer selection, but they have a handful of imports that are not available at Sam’s or Binny’s. However, I would not go out of my way to buy beer here.

Small selection, some good stuff. Got some Hair of The dog stuff. That was pretty good.

This place was a small, ratty liquor store. It did have many beers I haven’t sampled but few were enticing enough to buy. Some good beers in the "mix" section, including numerous Belgians. There were some in the six-pack section I’d have liked to try as singles. Better than most package stores but nothing exceptional.

I love this little place. One of its nicest features is that it’s DARK... a little hard to read some of the labels up the aisles, but then again you don’t really have to worry about light damaging your beer. They’ve also got a "mix a six" station that I’ve been meaning to ask about, but I usually find something else.

Update March 2007:    As I return and return to this shop over the months and years, I sadly see the same bottles on the shelves, over and over again. The cases and sixes seem to sell, but management doesn’t do too much (in regards to promotions or sales incentives) to rotate their stock of singles. (Selection score reduced from 13 to 10, Overall reduced from 16 to 13.) Oh... also... "homebrewing supplies"???? Show me.
