Got here on a Saturday just after they opened and it was already packed. Interior reminds me of The Liar’s Club in PB (San Diego), may it rest in peace, where it is overly worn, seemingly just tossed together with furniture from the junkyard and not comfortable at all. If you add this to the loud music (good luck holding a conversation) and difficulty getting a beer (even with five people behind the bar) it does not make for a very enjoyable experience to feast on their huge tap list. Wow, I see multiple offerings listed from breweries I’ve never even heard of. That doesn’t happen. Impressive! All that said there’s a very good chance I won’t be back since there are more enjoyable and friendly atmospheres around to take in a pint. It was frustrating waiting and waiting to get a beer while the bar’s regulars and friends got served without the slightest wait . . . oh yeah screw this place, I won’t be back.

Located a short walk from the 12th St Oakland BART station, which only took 15minutes to get to from Central SF. Beer shop meets bar concept. I suppose I could loosely liken this to a rock bar inside, but it’s obvious with all the beer everywhere what the true focus is. Nowhere near as much of a dive as Toro SF. Crazy selection of 47 taps, the details of which are crammed onto a tiny blackboard above the bar. Real local focus i.e. I didn’t recognise half of the beers on. Amazing to see 2004 BFM Bon-Chien on draft! Lots of fridges opposite the bar full of interesting bottles at decent prices. Fridges separated into beer style, which always helps. All beer can be taken out or drank in for a nominal $1 extra. Small, but nice outside area at the front is also great on a sunny day. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. This really is one of the best places to drink good beer anywhere!

One of the only bars where I always feel right at home. Amazing selection and prices (more for draft than for bottles), knowledgable, friendly, and patient staff, casual atmosphere. Love the big porch in front, as well as the fact that they’ll let you bring over food from the vegan soul food place next door.

One of my favorite spots. There is a full wall of fridges filled with bottles that you can buy or drink on premises for a small fee. The chalkboard menu of on tap beers is extremely well selected and adventurous. Environment and music is very punk rock. Very fun place.

Crazy dive bar cum bottle shop that is pretty hardcore craft beer. The ceiling is decorated with brewery flags and dried hop vines. The taplist when I was there was a Firestone Walker and Lost Abbey/Port tap takeover. 13 Lost Abbey beers on tap and another 10 from Firestone Walker and Deschutes. Tons of other local beers. Service was very good considering over 200 people were packed into this beer store sized room. Glassware was nice, keg rotation looked rapid. Outdoor seating area is a big plus. Very sociable place. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a room with as many hard core beer people in my life.

great selection, 40 plus taps, loaded with Firestone Walker, Lost Abbey & Deschutes. Very busy, tons of bottles. Very strange set up. Never seen a bar with so much room for the bartenders to move. Tight fit in here. I guess its a beer beer/store. 1030 last call on a Saturday threw me for a loop

I could not beleive that this was a beer store - so many taps that I lost count, plus endless bottles jam packed for SF beer week when we were there, for a Lost Abbey and Firestone Walker event. Great crowd, amazing vibe. Best beer store I have ever visited.

I love Beer Revolution. The ambiance isn’t great and the punk rock can be a bit much at times. The selection is awesome with a ton of great stuff on tap and a good bottle selection, which are available for take away purchase as well. The service can be a mixed bag. Rebecca is great (I give her a 10); Fraggle is a dick. Parking sucks! It’s best to take the train and walk the 10 or so blocks to get there.

I have come here a few times. This place has a great patio for beer and sunshine, but inside is a bit divey and hard to maneuver if there is any kind of crowd. Service is usually good and knowledgeable. Beer selection is outstanding with 40+ taps and coolers full of bottle beer (unfortunately rather randomly assorted). Beer prices are reasonable for the selection. Overall a great place to p/u beer and sample a large variety, I have tried to come on a brewer event night and the crowd was crazy in the small space but otherwise have had some good times here.
