If youíre in the area and passing through itís worth a look. Donít expect anything rare but they do stock the usual SoCal suspects with reasonable prices. As with other Oceanside liquor stores that carry a craft selection, you can find older vintages of Stone releases languishing on the shelves (not a bad thing sometimes such as í11 Stone IRS, etc.).

I was not at all impressed by the beer selection here. This liquor store mostly caters to budget-swill drinkers. There is a reasonable amount of decent CA beer, mainly in the way of bombers, but nothing I wouldnít easily find back in TN or NC. I couldnít find a great six pack of an IPA that I would buy and there is no good beer in cans available. Most everything I picked up was out of date as well. It probably just boils down to craft beer drinkers are not coming here. Prices are higher than Iím used to, but I can imagine that is probably normal for CA. Iím gonna try my luck at Trader Joeís and BevMo instead.

This place has recently changed owners and this has greatly benefited the store. They have a great selection of all of San Diego brews, Stone, Oggiís, Ballast Point, Greenflash, Lightning, etc. Mikeís also has a good selection of many European beers in both 6packs and 22ís. I was pleasantly surprized to find Nimbus Brewery and Mendocino ales represented and at a great price as well. The new owner says that he plans to put in several more cooler doors and expand on his already nice selection of domestic and imported brews. Nice little place worth dropping by.
