grh168 (1), , does not count - explanation | | December 19, 2011 This is certainly a hidden gem located in small town O’fallon. This store is unique in that the owners are there to serve you unlike the other stores nearby where you would have a hard time finding someone to answer your questions. Given a choice, I always support local businesses. I visit the store often and have built a relationship with the owners. It would be unfair to rate this store by the beer selection alone. They also have a great selection of whiskey, scotch and wine. This place is a must visit. | | seedsofchaos (10), Illinois | | March 29, 2010 This store has really evolved over time. I remember a time when I was first getting into craft beer and I could only find the occasional Sammie, Avery or... Pyramid Apricot Ale... Yes, we were all young, dumb and made mistakes...
This store is now in a new and shiny location across the strip mall from where it used to be. They have expanded their beer and wine selection dramatically and have a far reaching selection of singles, bombers, four and six packs and plenty of brew already in the cooler. One has to watch out a little for light exposed beer and older beer but, all in all, this is a great and up-and-coming local place.
In O’Fallon? Check. Want good beer? Check. Check it out! :) | | wwwdottom (10), Breese, Illinois | | November 12, 2009 [ Updated January 11, 2010 ] Small store in a strip mall - Several times I have visisted and there were groups of teenagers loitering in the strip mall (not cool, but also not the stores fault) - store is clean but appears unorganized - The store in owned by an asian family and their son is the one to talk to about beer recommendations- the selecton needs just a little work to be on par with Randalls a few miles away - you need to be careful with expired bottles here however (FYI - they Christmas gift packages on display all year so I wouldn’t bother with those unless you can gaurantee they are fresh) - No mix a six - closest place to home so I continue to go here - prices are similar to other stroes in the area | | Finhead (10), OFallon, Illinois | | November 2, 2009 [ Updated December 19, 2009 ] A good selection and great staff. Only sell singles of higher priced imports. They have decent amount of cold beer available. I wish they allowed making your own 6-packs. |
