| riseagainstme (12), Michigan | | November 10, 2011 As a restaurant they have really good food but at a high price. It is a great place to eat for a special occasion. The store side is really nice. I used to not like their prices, but if you get the Dustys card that is free you get 10% off which helps put their prices back to a normal ranges and sometimes cheaper than anywhere else. | | Silphium (58), East Lansing, Michigan | | September 18, 2011 Dusty’s is a neat little store with a small but eclectic selection of foodstuffs, wine, and beer. The beer selection is rather small, but Dusty’s does carry popular seasonal and limited offerings by most local brewers, and also carries a decent selection of national micros, German, and Belgian beers. Prices are reasonable, especially for Beer & Wine Club members. Service, when requested, has always been very good. My overall rating is largely limited by the relatively small selection, and I recommend a visit for anyone passing through the area. | sleestak (6), Williamston, Michigan does not count - explanation | | January 31, 2010 I’ve been coming to Dusty’s since the late-80s, where they were the first local store that sold beer by the bottle. Not a lot has changed since then, including the key personnel! Dusty’s is first and foremost a wine store, so the beer knowledge tends to be concentrated in only a few individuals. The beer selection skews heavily to German and English beers, as well as an excellent selection of Michigan micros. Other American craft beer is hit or miss, but they often have rare and seasonals. Prices are decent, and joining the (free) beer club offsets some of the premium. Food, be it from the bakery, the upscale restaurant next door, or even the brew pub two doors down is excellent. | Coprinus (1), Michigan does not count - explanation | | April 23, 2009 Dusty’s is a wonderful place to buy beer, wine, cigars, and specialty food. It’s got a great selection, good prices, and a very knowledgeable staff who are always eager to help. Dusty’s is the only place around here that you can find Rauchbier!
While you’re there, don’t miss the Wine Bar next door and the Pub a few doors down. A beer-drinker’s heaven!
