They were quite busy and rather understaffed so service was slow. Good selection of Struise beers from around €3.20 to €6.00 each.

A crazy choice of belgian artisanal beers a low prices! The place is right under the windmill. Looks dark inside. The restaurant room is strangely decorated with too many religious items. Food is ok.

We were at Westy on a Monday. No one was at Struise but they recommended we stop here if we wanted to try their beers. More than 10 Struise available. Well, we wanted to go to the schoolhouse, but this wasn’t all that bad, except that after 6 Westy we couldn’t really give the beers the attention they deserved.

Urbain Coutteau from Struise first brought us here. The beer list is good, and includes many of Urbain’s brews, some of which are not available elsewhere. Food is excellent, and it’s worth coming here for dinner. There is a secret garden in the back - past the tables on the busy (by Oostvleteren standards) street. Friendly staff. Definitley worth a stop. Watch out for the West Flanders Women!!!
