Supertrevligt ställe med god, folklig stämning. Som att sitta i vardagsrummet med ett gäng goda vänner. Jättetrevlig bemötande, prisvärda smakprover och bra öl. Här hänger jag gärna oftare.

Located in an old Swedish Military base, the brewery is oozing with charm. It’s incredible what they’re producing here. The system is a bit antiquated, but that is where the beauty lies. Narke is truly producing world class beers in a very unique setting. So privileged to get an opportunity to tour the brewery and sample the beers.

Visit on a open night. Met the brewers and tried a few beers. Hard to give a fair rating...

I’ve visited a couple of times, though not sure this should be a place on ratebeer. Why? Since it is not a place normally open for visits, also it is not a place where you can go and drink beer. The laws of Sweden doesn’t make it possible for breweries to have tap rooms, they canät sell their beers to take away and you can not go there and drink on site (unless they have a restaurant, and these guys don’t). The place is great, the brewers are great, but make sure to contact them well in advance if you want to visit. You might be able to arrange a tour, but again, contact them first!

Visited during the International IPA day as well as Ronny. Great brewers, great beer. Very hard to get access to, the few ocassions needs to be booked long in advance so when they are released they are gone in a few days. Pretty easy to find, but no public transportation so 20 mins brisk walk from the central station.

Visited during International IPA-day on August 1 2013. Three beers on Tap and maybe a surprise later on. Quite crowded, considering they rarely serve beers here. Beers served by the owners, who are as friendly as you can get. Lovely atmosphere and good beers. You also had the chance to visit the actual brewing-area.

As gnoff says you need to call in advance. They do host some open houses and they are usually very well visited with a nice selection of beers, very friendly staff and interesting tours. I’ve been to the brewery many times and it has always been a positive experience. Närke is more then just Kaggen :)

Is Narke just hype surrounding one beer? Is Kaggen really that good? Questions I asked myself as I set out upon an epic journey. Narke is located about 2.5 hours north of Stockholm by train. A small residential town, not much to look at. Fits Narke perfectly as its a located in a small wharehouse district. An 8.5 by 11 sign announces their presence, otherwise you would have no clue they were there. The brewery itself is very small, you can barely fathom that they produce beer there. The brewery offers paid tours, check out their website for price and details. HG and Berith are the married owners and do the tour, which is basically a tasting with them describing their beers. On the wall they have laminated beer sticks that they use as tap handles. They grab the sticker and give it to people as they try the beer. Each beer has a story behind it and is hand drawn by Berith. They are both incredibly nice and knowledge providing for an outstanding experience. We got to try several different beers and it was quickly learned that almost all Narke beers are as high class as Kaggen and Stormakts. They are expanding their capacity so hopefully we can start getting some beers here soon.
Narke is well worth the trip to meet some world class brewers and people
