| garza (73), Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), Venezuela | | December 18, 2011 Never went there before because is always so full. But in a sunday afternoon there was some place to breathe. Good selection on botled macros and micros from Europe and the States, 5 on tap. Nice variety of Nøgne Ø brews. Good service at the bar. Did not eat, maybe next time. Relaxed ambiance with a few ice & water suckers taking advantage of the free wi-fi. Worth the visit if is not so freaking full. | erkpotur (1), , Norway does not count - explanation | | November 23, 2011 [ Updated March 21, 2012 ] Café Laundromat is a very charming place with retro style, old telephones, cosy old-style furniture, a small open loft-room where you can view the whole cafe from above and thousands of books! They have over 4000 books, which is the largest private owned library in Oslo. Bookworms will love this place! And of course beer nerds, they have a good selection of bottles (nearly 200 bottles with 8 taps).
The waiters are nice, their menu is extensive: salad, burgers, pizza, breakfast and more. They have a good selection of bottled beers. They are also sponsors of Save the Children and Doctors without Borders.
The place seems to be busy all the time, but it has a relaxed tone and is not too noisy. The coffee is good, and I´ve heard the burgers are real good. They have some tables outside on a small balcony by the road – good for sunny days, but a bit noisy with the tram passing by every 5th minute. This place is good for everything: a nice meal with friends, while you re waiting for your laundry, you can have a Nøgne Tiger Tripple from the tap ,surfing the net, reading books – or just to hang out and have a good time!
| | visionthing (114), Oslo, Norway | | October 30, 2011 Good selection of Norwegian beer like Nøgne Ø, Ægir, Kinn and also several foreign both on tap and bottles. Pretty crowded on a Sundag afternoon. Decent prices and a young clientele. | | espenra (22), Kurland, Norway | | April 30, 2011 Located right across Bislett sports stadium this is a very popular place. A very nice selection of beers from Norway, Denmark, Germany and the US. Good selection of food as well. They also have a large selection of books as well as laundromats so you can wash your clothes while having a beer. | | KnutAlbert (212), Oslo, Norway | | April 5, 2011 Fine selection of beers, lots of Nøgne Ø, Mikkeller, Haandbryggeriet, Ægir etc. Prices about average for Oslo.
Not impressed by the burgers.
Laid back atmosphere, probably a popular student hangout.
Don’t go out of your way for this - but fine if you are in the area. | | ILikeOl (70), , Norway | | February 21, 2011 [ Updated February 19, 2012 ] Laundromat was a pleasant surprise. They carry the majority of BrewDog, Nøgne Ø, Ægir and Scneider Weisse’s regular portfolio as well as several from Haandbryggriet, Mikkeller plus some others of various quality. The price level seems to have gone up quite a bit since last year. If you like watching trams and trendy people go by, accompanied by a good beer, this is not a bad place to be. | | berlinoise2go (15), , Norway | | November 19, 2010 Busy local haunt nearby Bislet stadium. Probably among the top 10 beer selections among Oslo bars/restaurants. Norwegian beers include Nøgne Ø, Haandbryggeriet and Ægir. Informal ambience with a young crowd. Decent food. |
