Far above average vinmonopol selection, very friendly staff that are genuinely interested in beers. That’s a bit unusual.

One of the better Vinmonopolet stores in Oslo. Usually pretty good selection of beers, especially Norwegian micros. As with all Vinmonopolet stores you can see the current selection available online on the website (updated twice daily), but the website is probably only available in Norwegian.

This is the second best bottle shop in Oslo, only beaten by Vika Vinmonopol. It’s a full sortiment store, which means the full range of beer. They also have a manager that likes beer, so due to that they also have some beers normally not found in a Vinmonopolet. Examples of beers that you usually find here is NØ #500 and Ægir Natt & Tors Hammer. They also usually have some smaller delivieres - but not in the same league as VIka though

I visit the ’pol’ now and then and I am never disappointed. It is not one of the special stores in the chain, but they always seem to have a very good selection of Norwegian Micros. Last time they had loads of the Nøgne Ø’s: Dark Horizon, Red Horizon and Sweet Horizon. This is definitely my fave among the ’pol’ shops in Oslo. (My selection rate is based on Norwegian conditions, the service level is always exellent in these shops - and the beer knowledge is rising).

One of the larger stores in the wine-centered Vinmonopolet chain, with a relatively good (in Norwegian terms), albeit erratic selection of Norwegian and Danish micros (e.g. one of very few stores in Oslo where all editions of Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon have been available).
