Stopped in for a pint and really enjoyed the pub. The decor is a really great change from modern brew pubs- great character! Wait staff were nice and tsp list was very good.

At last tried this renown place in Ottawa. Better than average.

It’s worth checking out for its cosy and interesting interior. Plenty of beer paraphernalia of mostly Belgian inspired theme. Friendly staff. Honestly, I just wasn’t blown away by the beer selection. Too much macro stuff dominating the taps and less than interesting Ontario beer and common Belgian beers in bottles. I’ve heard bad things about the food so didn’t bother eating. Again, worth a look but don’t have high hopes for the experience.

Monastic themed, low-lit bar. Around 30 taps but with only a handful of good picks. The beer bible looks impressive but it’s moslty international lagers and Belgian macros. I’ve always been pleased with the service, friendly and quite knowlegeable. It’s not my favourite place but it worth a stop once in awhile.

Great beer list, cool atmosphere, food could be better but it’s allright for a pub.

Great spot with a decent selection, but nothing on the food menu is the least bit appetizing. The sub par food options takeaway from the extensive beer list. Servers have a fair amount of knowledge about the beer. Interesting décor style. Very cozy feel.

By far the best selection in Ottawa. They have the beer bible and will not disappoint. Not cheap mind you but the ambiance is unique and characteristic.

Fairly decent, good service, OK selection.

Definitely the largest tap list on the Ottawa side of the river and also the largest bottle list. For anyone who is well versed on the Ontario beer scene, there isn’t much that is interesting here. Everything they have in bottle is mostly typical LCBO fare with few private imports. Their tap list is a little more interesting but they tend to stick with the ordinary favourites found anywhere. They don’t seem to have many local beers on tap compared with Black Tomato or Arrow and Loon. Cool vibe and good service though.
