Not the greatest pub in the city, but one of the better ones in the Byward Market.

A stranger assortment of drinks for Ottawa. This place offeres English ales as well as some domestic gems. The staff don’t really have an idea whats going on and their constantly bothing you. But at least you can get something new. Its a little expensive for what you get though.

Think everyone else has summed it up well - a very good pub, great scotch, ok beer and food; so depending on what you want it maybe worth a visit - otherwise skip it for a better beer destination.

Avery nice bar for scotch, but nothing to write home about if you want beer. Still a nice pub in the byward market.

I’ve been there often, but I did not want to add this place. As Lubière stated, there is about two or three Ontario micros on tap, some Scottish stuff and the rest all macro (Guiness, Bud...). They do have a good scotches selection, with monthly tasting evenings. The service is OK, but if you get a guy name David at the bar, you’ll be well served. As a place for beer selection overall in the ByWard, Black Tomato and Vineyards are much better, but as a pub, this is the best.

A great Scotch pub in the ByWard Market with a decent selection of taps of Ontario micros (Wellies, Heritage), Sam Adams, and Scottish beer ( Deuchar and Caledonian) and a huge selection of scotches. They specialize in taster flights. Food is very good, with some scotch cuisine thrown in, including haggis, good prices, service a bit innatentive. But a decent place in beer barren Ottawa.
