This pub is mostly focused on whisky (they actually have a really good selection for a small place in the northern Finland, if youíre into that). I think the number if beer taps has increased quite a bit since the last time I was there a few years ago. The selection is still a bit small but I liked the variety. No idea how often it rotates though. The interior is alright, thereís a variety of seats to choose from (counter, window, tables etc.) and they have a decent-sized patio which is open during summertime. Itís a bit on the expensive side in general which means that itís not necessarily always jam packed on weekends, but it is still surprisingly popular. Donít count on getting a seat though if youíre going there late on Friday or Saturday night. Staff seems to be knowledgeable enough and they donít mind chatting about beer/whisky.
Itís probably my favourite place in Oulu but might not be the best for a beer-lover. Their whisky selection just simply overshadows the tap selection, so you are most likely better off getting your beers elsewhere and moving here for a couple of stiff ones later on. If you are not short on time while visiting Oulu, do check this place out nevertheless.

Irish- themed bar centrally located in Oulu. Probably my favourite spot in this town. Might not have as a nicely rotating selection as Leskinen, but I found the atmosphere nicer, even if the whole place is part of some sort of bar-francise- thing. And they have a pretty sizeable whiskey selection too, which creates atmosphere even if youíre not into that.
They even installed a real-ale tap recently, which while not operational yet, will definitely boost the beeryness of the place when ready. Bar food available.

Irish style interioir and sometimes Irish folk tunes played live in one corner of the pub. Usually quite friendly and quick service. A lot of taps nowadays after the expansion in early 2014. Few of them are changing, many are not. Not sure about the bottles selection but not very mentionable. Beer I mean. Whisky is totally another thing, thereís a lot!

Has few regular taps with ok selection and four almost monthly changing taps, which occationally have interesting beers. Changing bottled beers also. Fairly good size with little terrace. Full on weekend evenings.

Nothing really special in terms of beer selection but the place has a very good variety of quality whiskeys (Whiskey Magazine recently awarded them "golden" status).

Irish pub? Like 90% of Irish pubs in Finland itís like prefabricated Irish pub. Whatís left of Real Ale is only the tap handle. No surprises in taps (Guinness, Kilkenny, Finnish Lagers...). Selection is very limited. Nonetheless thereís quite impressive selection of whiskeys available. Not that I would understand anything of that noble beverage.
