huge beer selection, but singles are limited to mix six, so no rarities. nicely organized, and friendly service.

This place was really good. The beer was exceptionally cold. I almost had a brain anurism from the cold beer. Love it !

they had what i was looking for, some beers not distributed in missouri. free state ironman and hoppin forg. employee i talked to this time not knowledgeable, but those encountered on other visits know their stuff. good store.

This is now my local corner store, so I’ve been here several times since our most recent move. Large amount of space. Selection represents most beers available in this part of the state, as well as fair prices. A few of the more limited edition beers around here can be found. Single bottle selection is definitely the best feature but could use some better organization, with the mixed six selection a bit smaller than I would prefer. Plenty of cooler space is a bonus, virtually all 6-packs are refrigerated. Staff is non-existent; you’re on your own here, unless you count the checkers up front. Overall, I’m content to have a place of this caliber so nearby (Also has a decent selection of single malt scotch.)

This and Lukas are the nicest of the 4 area bottle shops I have went to and had the lowest prices on top of it. They have Bush De Nuits for $31 which is pretty good. Decent singles selection, but it is smaller than Lukas’s. Solid selection of both regular and seasonal brews.

Surprising large craft beer selection. Absolutely chocka with top end brews. Knowledgeable staff who evidently do a bit of brewing themselves.

New store to the area as of this review. Nice selection of singles, many available cold as well. A lot of more expensive beers broken out, not just your average build a six for 8.99 (or whatever). Prices seemed good. Pretty good selection of what Kansas has to offer. Person at the check out said he was a former homebrewer. Worth the trip if you’re looking to pick up some singles.

Quick update - the last two times I have been at MDL, I have been overcharged. Both times were simple mistakes (six pack price for a single, for example) though were still annoying. Likely not intentional, though still worth noting - make sure of your total before you pay.

Saw the ad for this one on TV, and saw the early ratings coming in, so I thought I would check out myself midday on a weekday. Other raters who liked this store, have really liked Metcalf Discount Liquors, and I think it is the same type of store. Good, but not great selection, with a nice selection of single bottle beers. Some of the Nogne beers, some Mikkeller beers, all of the available DdC beers. This was probably the largest selection of singles I have seen on the Kansas side of Kansas City. I did not request or receive any service, though everyone was friendly. The store is located on the NW corner of the Antioch and 95th intersection, between the CVS and the Blockbuster. Reminded me a lot of an upscale version of Metcalf Discount Liquors. I’ll be back. Bonus point for mentioning RateBeer on their website.

I went by here because I heard through a friend they had a good selection of beer. They were not joking. I had great seervice as soon as I walked in the door. They have a great section of top rated beers.

This new store is fantastic. Great selections, unusual brews and very good service. Make it a point to visit.
