decent enough place, but compared to the other stores in the area, this is slightly lacking. one cooler of singles.

Decent sized store, but craft selection was not large. Not bad if staying in a hotel close, but not a destination store. No service in the beer section to speak of and ambiance was a minimally kept up warehouse.

Ok. This was an experience. I went in looking for some Captain Morgans Spiced Rum, and some Mythos Beer chasers. The girl behind the counter was pleasant, but didnt have any Mythos Beer. Can you beleive this ? I did try the Pabst. Its a tried tested and proven performer. Good job overall. Please get some Mythos.

Small store with decent selection. Not a lot of singles. Few seasonals and no rare beers. Kinda disappointing based on the reviews. Lukas and MLD are both better stores.

This my current go to liquor store. The prices seem to be the best in Overland Park. The section is solid. It has solid section of top beers. They have 2 cooler organized by ratings 100 to ~92. Being a small store, most of their beer selection is in bombers. Their section is limited to Am craft beers (mostly Co and Ca beers) and they a few Belgium to choose from. If I am looking for lesser known international beers I head to Lukas in OP or KC.

The selection is great and the service is quick and knowledgeable--some of the employees brew and have traveled enough to make a point of understanding what they are selling to a degree that makes them truly an above average sales staff.

Stopped in on a recent trip to KC. The staff was very helpful. I saw only BMC beers in the window and they had RB shelf talkers for many of the craft beers. A fairly small, but overall quality selection of beer with a good price. A little bit of special edition beers from some varied US and a few European brewers. They had random seasonals placed on the floor and I about missed a couple of good beers. Worth a stop if in the nearby area, but I would not go out of my way to check it out as it is overshadowed by the big boys in KC.

Loads of good beers. Beers set by rating in two cooler doors... selection is growing and growing.... there will be more obscure Belgians in eventually.

Two cooler doors with top rated available beers in the state in order by rating. Most employees know the products, during the day, the beer manager can help. The beer that "theisti" talks about being in the window is budweiser products.... the heat cant hurt it too bad.... and I’m pretty sure I heard the last half of "Abbey Road" when I was there... can’t be muzak...

UPDATE May 2009 - they have re-configured the store so that only 12 and 24 packs of macros are sitting in the cooker (area right next to their unprotected windows). Also, they seem to have cannibalized much of their bum wine section for craft beers. The layout and selection of this place are really improving. Also, prices are always good here, generally noticeably better than Lukas OP. The folks working the store seem to really know beer, and care.

UPDATE Summer 2008 - they still have the hot beer issue, but the selection here has improved to at least the same level as the 91st location.

Original Rating - April 2008 - Visited midday, not much help present at all. Beer is tucked away in the far corner of the store, a little scattered and certainly kept way too warm. I touched a 12 pack of Fat Tire and it was in the 80’s at least.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.
