craftbr00_d00d (1), Benton, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | February 6, 2012 Great place. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. Beer selection is fantastic, they have a little bit of everything! The the growler fill station with four craft beers on draft is also a great addition!! | dicemanstl (1), St. Louis, Missouri does not count - explanation | | January 11, 2012 The service here is fantastic. They are the closest place to STL that stocks FFF and DFH. The folks that work here are incredibly helpful and really make you feel like a special customer. I plan on dealing with Roof Brothers for a very long time. | | seedsofchaos (10), Illinois | | March 29, 2010 This is the Beer Mecca for Northern Kentucky and Southern Illinois. All good beer geeks go here, talk to Caine and get good beer.
The ambiance is average and of any large liquor store but the service is bar-none. When browsing, employees actually ask if you’re looking for something in particular and most can, at least, make some decent suggestions and share opinions with you. You’ll quickly find fellow beer geeks to shoot the breeze with and talk beer with.
The selection is awesome and ever-expanding. After stocking up, the staff always helps to carry my bounty back to my car for the haul back up to Southern Illinois.
Great staff. Great beer. Period. | | BEER4MEPLEASE (10), | | November 15, 2009 THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST STORE IN TOWN. YOU SHOULD STOP BY. GREAT SELECTION OF MICROS ALOND WITH SOME ODD BALL CRAFTS | Meatmallet (2), Salem, Illinois does not count - explanation | | April 4, 2009 I was headed to the area and decided to look for a place to shop and man am I glad I did. Roof Brothers had everything I cant find in my are of Illinois and then some. Great Lakes, Avery, Rogue, Stone, Bell’s, Goose Island, Ommegang, and Dogfish Head. My only complaint was there were not many Belgians. The usual Chimmay red white and blue and a few four packs of Unibroue and a couple of others were found but many were missing.
The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I showed up a few minutes before the beer tasting began and was able to sample 5 different brews for only $2. I now cant remember what they were but all were great.
Nearly $200 and an hour later I was ready to go. I was also able to pick up a growler of Hop Slam which I will be opening now.... | FSUHusker (1), Tallahassee, Florida does not count - explanation | | October 26, 2008 The family and I stop here every year while driving to the parents house and load up the car with beer. Has many of the beers we all look for. Great place!! | | dalepryor (17), Lexington, Kentucky | | May 25, 2008 [ Updated August 9, 2009 ] this is the go to store for great microbrews here in paducah, it’s not the only store but it is the best with a current selection and often rotating one. The staff are extremely helpful and the "beer guy" kane knows his stuff. Not only do they have beer, but also tons of wine, liquors, and gourmet food products. They also have a rotating selection of taps that they fill your growlers with for example i’ve seen founders, DFH, schlafly, bells hopslam. at this point in time they have great divide chocolate yeti on tap! Awesome store for a small town. | Quietude (6), Lexington, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | April 13, 2008 Probably the only saving grace about having moved away from a big city! Great selection, but a bit pricey for some stuff. | | nearbeer (144), Knoxville, Tennessee | | February 2, 2008 [ Updated October 16, 2008 ] Good selection of regional brews and imports, really impressive for the area. Probably 350 plus different beers, with about 1/3 of those available as singles. A tad pricey, but they probably are the only place for 100 miles with some of these beers. Some beer glassware, gourmet groceries, wine and liquor as well. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. | Tilley4 (7), Huron, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | December 11, 2007 Drove 3 hours from West Tn to check this place out. Totally unbelievable place. Biggest selection I’ve ever laid eyes on. Tons of Stone, Rogue, Dogfish Head (including some of the rare stuff), Delirium Tremens and Noel, Brooklyn Chocolate Stout, Avery, Bells, and tons of stuff I’ve never heard of. Very knowledgeable staff turned me on to some things as well. I could easily empty my entire bank account in this place. Prices are very reasonable as well. Picked up lots of stuff that I’ve read about here but never even smelled in TN. I will be making beer runs to this place on a regular basis, and I do mean regular. Awesome. |
