Nice small friendly place. Very good selection of french speciality beer, including Paris own craft beer. The service is ok, if you remember tahjt you are in Paris..

Visited 19th November while in Paris on a short stay. General atmosphere dark and noisy sports bar. Beers on this visit were mainly big names that you would fairly easily find elsewhere. (I say this, but might have been unlucky on the day itself, as the beer range is said to change). I also found myself a little unlucky with the food (Moules-frites). Nothing wrong with the mussels themselves but chips tepid at time of service and ice cold halfway through meal - staff said in as many words there was nothing they could do. However in manners they were friendly enough. This venue is best visited in the daytime when it is quieter and you can get a decent seat - but vist here first and Au Trappiste second to notice the "upgrade" feel! I will be happy enough to upscale my rating if I have a better experience on a future visit.

Great place, I had a lot of fun! Large selection of French micros, and very interesting Belgian choices too. The staff was great, and the mussels with chips were excellent.

I liked this place, had a big beer list 5 pages with lots of unique french beers, lots of Belgian and German brews. I had a La Choulette Ambree that was quite tasty, the food was great with a giant helping of Fries and Mussels, good value all around, service was good on the patio, staff don’t know their Drinks/Beer in depth. still a good experience and a good place to go for that area, Au Trappiste would be better and just a few blocks away, you cant go wrong with either place.

Located near the Louvre , but off the main boulevards. Smallish, a bit dark and stuffy inside. In all fairness we were there on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it was quite crowded. We sat outside under an awning, and it was perfect. Food was good and the beer selection was fairly deep in Belgian and French brews. Prices were typical of Paris brasseries. We had a nice conversation with the owner and he brought out several Belgian artisinal brews for us to try. It was a fun evening and a very good eating and drinking experience overall. I will definitely return, when next in Paris.

2010-08. Visited very late on a busy Saturday evening last July, we sat at the bar while many locals watched the football game on the telly. It was quite dark and close in the bar. The barman was friendly but very busy and rushed. The bottle list is of course quite interesting and long, though the taps were just OK. Better to visit on a less busy night, I think. Stumbled into this place after a day of sightseeing with my cousin and a co-worker. First beer was Leffe Brune. Nicely served with a complimentary plate of oysters. We were the only customers in the place on a misty October day. We all had salads with bacon and cubed fries as toppings. The second Leffe and a Grimbergen hit the spot before we moved on to other joints in the area. Great English-speaking staff that were willing to talk with us. The salad/fry combo is a regular now in my household.

Sat for about 30 minutes the first time before I found out he beer I ordered was out. Left. Came back again with my wife and we shared a bottle of La Coulette. Good service that time. Not really a great place, and the selection is not all that interesting, especially of French beers. Go if you need a bar to drink French beers in, but if you are at all familiar with French micros, it will be hard to find much that is new.
