This is a great space in old town Pasadena. Smells like a delicious brewery. Service is knowledgeable and friendly, but you have to order food and drinks at the bar. 40 beers on draft with house brews leading the way and excellent selection of local crafts. Food prices are high so a few ticks down on the value scale.

Legit gastropub with excellent service, great decor, and large tap list focusing on super local beers including their own high quality house beers. Flights available. Prices very good for beer and food quality. Truffle fries were dope, wife loved her truffle mac n cheese. Haven burner was great but didnít have as much picked onion and roasted red pepper as I thought. Maybe a kitchen oversight. Flights came quickly and were all organized. Looks like quick tap rotation here. Taps including theirs own beers, hyper local Craftsman, Taps brewpub, Alesmith, Telegraph, Drakes, Brouwerij West, Golden road, Hangar 24, Bear Republic. Focus on hard to find things. Only two or three beers out of 40 were readily available in the area. Will be back many times Iím sure. Another qualm is that the flights arenít cheap if youíre trying some of the craftsman stuff, $5 per taster!

Visited several times since opening. Iím kicking myself that in the four years that I knew about Brix 42 I never visited and then it was too late. Sounds like several other bars took over this space before Haven. Luckily Haven seems to be doing better, and they make good beer too. I really need to get to Pasadena more often.
There are tons of taps to pick from, which is nice. The food is good albeit very expensive. Service and atmosphere are pleasant. A bit upscale for my liking but a fun place to hang out.

Very pleasant decor and ambiance. 40 beers on tap, including 8 house brews, and 4 on cask - all interesting. Came mid afternoon and almost empty. Still not particularly attentive service. Yes the food is on the high side but far better than usual for a brew pub.

Cool location right downtown in Old Town Pasadena. Sort of a darkly lit bar area with a nice horseshoe bar with taps on both sides and 3 cask set ups. Classy ambiance with hardwood bar, floors, tables, etc. Had 8 house taps (only 7 beers on, though), and about 50 on tap total (theyíll do flights of 4 for everything on the menu). Friendly staff, a little on the pricey side, but a cool place.

Nice little place off the bustle of Old Town in Pasadena. Has their own house beers too.

Fun little stop in old town Pasadena. Free public lot across the street. Nice and very big interior. A couple of flat screen TVs by the bar. Hard wood everywhere else. Upscale Vibe. Really a massive space. 15bbl brewing system. Some natural light brightens the place up. Massive tap system. Well over 50 beers on offer (as well as 4 empty cask beer engines). All priced at both taster flight size and full pours (decent prices at $5-7 per pint for most things). Some rarities such as Hammerhead and Abacus on tap. 4 house brews at the moment (they only started brewing a month or so ago. House beers were quite good for first attempts (the breakfast stout was particularly good, but all could use some tweaking). 6 wines on tap as well as a house mixed Manhattan Cocktail. Food menu is delicious, but prohibitively expensive ($16 burger type of prices)! Friendly service from an ex-Fatherís Office vet. Worth returning for beers, but I might have to find somewhere cheaper to eat first.
On a recent visit: Food prices have dropped to a slightly more reasonable price (still high side, but not shocking). Also a brewer change (from a homebrewer to a former Drakes brewer, Brian). House beers are markedly better!!
