Visited on a trip to Pasadena with my girlfriend. First of all, love the location: just off a cool central street of Old Pasadena. The interior winds with old-school English charm, in a sort of dingy way. We finally made it back to the bar, which was a tiny little thing with no signs and no easy wayy to discern what their current tap list was. Their tap list was decent -- I especially liked how they featured both Saisons as well as local specialties like Craftsman. However, something about this place just work for me any more than a good neighborhood bar would. Its just a bit sloppy -- perhaps intentionally -- and for that reason I just couldn’t seem to get into LB’s, with girlfriend at side. I’d go back if in the area though.

It’s hard to describe this place, but it’s sort of like Irish pub meets sports bar. Nice mix of locals and a very good selection of beer, bottled and draft including some obscure stuff. Prices are not too bad considering the area. I did not eat, so I have no thoughts on the food. Worth a visit. The best selection I have had in the LA area with the exception of Stuffed Sandwich.

I love this place. Football on the telly. Great beer. First place where I had Craftsman hefe. But it is really lived in. Could do with a re-fresh and the food is average.

Went there in December ’08. Thought the place might be trendy, but it turned out to be more of a dive bar. I loved it! Excellent menu with many traditional English foods, adn a great selection of both draft and bottled beer.

My mainstay as I can walk there. I have been going here for beers for a good solid 5 years or more. The service has become better as years ago it was a disaster. There are a few bartenders that really know their beer, Brian for one is very cool and knows what to pour me everytime I see him. Food is only OK, although the chicken curry is pretty killer and I’ve had it at least 20 times. It can be very crowded, especially during festivals.

Went there on a Thurs lunch. It wasn’t crowded. the service was great. the food was good and the prices were reasonable. They had a very nice tap selection. Nice little place. If wasn’t 65 miles away, I’d go there often

It is hit and miss depending on what the tap theme is, how crowded it is, and how happy the wait staff is.

Not that big a place which made it very busy when we visited on a Wednesday night - quite late. Interior is wood and stone with lots of beer memorabilias on the walls - a weird mixture of English and Belgian, as if it doesn’t know which direction it wants to go. I had 8 new beers before I had to capitulate because of jetlag - but I could have had more from the bottled card. We had quite attentative service at the table, and the prices were reasonable. Didn’t eat.

Best place to find Belgian Ales in LA. Owner of this place, Sir Dave Farnworth, is an englishman who was part of the inducted knights of the Belgian Brewers Guild. Knighted by Grand Master Jack Van Antwerpen at the Magdalena Church in Brussels, Belgium in 2004 (see Beer Mag Jul/Aug 2008). Exceptional variety of beer and ales both on tap and bottled. Beer list changes so much that they may not have everything your looking for. Have yet to try the local Craftman taps, hopefully next time. Typically a crowded atmosphere in the evenings but as Pub-ish as one could hope for. Nice patio seating. Bartender was great and pretty informative, though it was’t quite crowded yet. Food was good during 3rd Belgian Fest though tried it @ Lucky Baldwin’s #2 in Monrovia, CA. Flemish menu during festival, I had rabbit it was delicious.

Went here with my girlfriend today. Sat out on the Patio. Beer list is out of date. Drank Craftsman Heavenly Hefe and Triple Sage, as well as Sprecher IPA Squared (all on tap). Waitress was very knowledgable, but a bit too pushy at first, and hard to find about the time to pay up. Food was simple, but good. Too hot to try pub fare, so we both had sandwiches. Great atmosphere inside. Nice selection.
