| nicksixsix (20), California | | July 16, 2011 [ Updated October 27, 2011 ] By far the raddest selection of beer around. David the beer guy is super awesome even though he has a long greasy mop for hair and rarely changes his clothes. Love the beer garden IN the store... drink beer whilst shopping for groceries? yes please! Yes, the sweetest and bestest selection of beer is also the hippest and smartest place to buy groceries? AWESOME. and they have PTE in stock like 97% of the time. cool. | | breaks808 (13), California | | February 28, 2011 This place really tries to get good beer for their customers. Better selection than bevmo. Some rare stuff from time to time. Overall a good store to buy some beer. | | berad54 (20), Sunland, California | | September 24, 2010 Considering how expensive the food is, the beer is very reasonable and what a selection.
Found 8 bottles of Pliny the Elder and 3 bottles of Sublimely Self Righteous. Not bad for a grocery store.
I shop here all the time for food and usually allot some extra cash to bring home some top flight bottles. | | ajm (191), Los Angeles, California | | March 12, 2009 Really huge store, really great decor. Allegedly you can sample anything at any time if you ask. The beer is different than any other WF in the metro area. The only one I found carrying Ommegang Bier de Mars, for instance, and one of the first I saw carrying Maui Brewing Co. | | slimchill (82), Austin, Texas | | November 1, 2008 Beautifully laid out store. Comprehensive and well-organized beer isle. Most worthy beers kept chilled, though some left out. One of the better WFMs. | | can8ianben (84), Souderton, Pennsylvania | | September 29, 2008 Largest WFM west of the rocky mountains. Head on up to the second floor beer isle, it’s a pretty solid place to visit. Their prices are a little higher than BevMo down the street, but they usually have a different selection. Always several pretty high end Belgian imports, and some cool local stuff as well. Lots of AleSmith, Stone, and even Lost Abbey, but you have to pay for it. They are close to the food court so you could pick up lunch or dinner to go along with your beer selection. | | LtDan (61), Los Angeles County, California | | August 31, 2008 A real uppity up, gourmet atmosphere. With that said, not intimidating to a proud beer geek. An entire isle is dedicated to craft beer, and the staff seems to stock it with beers I happen to like. I could do without the entire Indian Wells line they carry, but I can’t be too picky. | mcr (1), Altadena, California does not count - explanation | | June 23, 2008 If you can wade though the throngs of posh soccer moms and make your way upstairs, you will be greated by a remarkably good selection of Belgians for a grocery store. |
