Upping my rating for this Kappy’s location - they have recently been really delivering on hard to find gems. Kappy’s is a Massachusetts liquor store chain with 2 locations on 114 within 5 minutes of each other. This is the preferred location near 128. The waft of stale beer when you walk through the returns section to enter the store is not pleasant. Service is non-existent, but the selection is well laid out by geography with US micros on one side and Rest of the World micro/macros on the opposite. A string of coolers along the backwall mimics the selection on the shelves with the addition of macros. Selection is pretty good. There is always a new arrival and on occasion there is something that is otherwise not available on the North Shore. Unfortunately the diversity also includes some lesser quality "exotic" beers. But they do allow for mix-pack creations. Prices are a little high as any incentive sales are mostly concentrated on the macros. Overall, not a bad stop when you are in the 128 / mall area.
