Desperate for some food and beers after a long day, this place offered just what we needed. The first thing that makes an impression is the large wall of taps. Extensive selection with many interesting new ticks for a foreign traveller. Ambiance is okay but nothing special. Table service was friendly but hardly knowledgeable about beer, though I didn't talk to any bartenders. Pizza was simply good, thick and filling. They do happy hour as well. Centrally located in downtown Pensacola.

A large but unappealing kind of bar, something just not comfortable. Bartender knew his stuff and took care of me, unfortunately beer list although large isn’t that interesting. Food was pricey and mediocre with lofty goals. Overal OK, but not my thing.

This is one of several rateable places on Palafox Pl in downtown Pensacola. It’s a nice little street with lots of shops and restaurants. This place is a pizza parlor that also serves a lot of beer. It was nice to see Southern Tier, Founders, Victory, and Dogfish Head on tap at the same time. They also had a bunch from the local brewery (Pensacola Bay) including their fruited Berlinerweisse. They’ll give you free tastes of something if you want to try it. I went with the Southern Tier Choklat and a slice of the Reese’s peanut butter cup pie. Awesome combination but over all very sweet. They also had some beers from a place called Swamp Head including a DIPA and a bitter. This isn’t beer paradise per se but with a hundred taps anyone can find something good to drink here. Complaints include the dank (it was such a nice day that it was a shame to sit at a dark bar to have a beer) and that many of the taps aren’t very interesting.

They also have a bunch of funny Star Wars posters and cut outs up around the building.

Nice location. Great atmosphere. Awesome food. Service was good as was the selection and pricing. One of my regular stops when down in the old part of PCola.

Located right on Palafox near the bay. Sidewalk seating and quite a bit of room on the inside. A stage for live music just inside the entrance. Pretty dark inside. Lighting and paint. Size able bar. Long bar seating in the center. Service varies from bohemian snotty to gauge earrings and tattooed southern pleasant. Taps GALORE! Bottles GALORE! Prices decent. Pizzas and other pub fare are good with reasonable prices.

Happy hour 6 days a week from 4:20 to 6:20 and half price draft on Sunday is a good selling point. Food is good if you like bar food. Service is very good. They have a large selection of taps and bottles with some excellent choices such as Duvel and Chimay (triple) on tap.

Hopjacks has an excellent tap selection, by far the best in Pensacola both for quantity and quality. I personally think the food is overrated and overpriced, but beer prices are spot on. Place is sort of ugly, though.

Not too busy on Wednesday night, but there was a free 3-beer tasting at the bar (bonus!). The service was quick, not the most knowledgeable about the menu, but they give you a slip that has all the beers they are sold out of before you order...cool. Good selection of draughts. Pizza was very good, I’m not convinced I ordered the best one on the menu, however (the bbq was fine). The Belgian Fries were great, however, and the experience was definitely positive. About the best in P-Cola.

We visited here on a Saturday night and luckily got a seat at the bar right before the band setup and they started putting wristbands on people who came in. It quickly transformed from a pub/restaurant into a pub/nightclub. People were soon crowding the isles and leaning into us to get the bartenders attention. Despite the nightclub lightswitch they threw on us we were still able to get good service from our bartender and even order food. The food was pretty good. We had some beef, duck and chicken skewers, the duckfat fries and a chicken ceasar salad. Maybe would pass on the chicken in the chicken ceaser next time, kinda chewy. The beer selection was enormous and actually included some good stuff (Bells Hopslam!). Reminded me of the Taproom in San Marcos (TX) or a grungier Flying Saucer on a busy night. No Cigar City in this city yet, apparently.

Very interesting place with an extensive tap list, including some very interesting pours. Unfortunately no Cigar City though.
