Big selection, very good service and interested people running the caper, woever most beer kept at room temp, and prices often now higher than IBS, which seems at odds with its rather suburban location, and its previously great prices

Been my local for several years after having rediscovering it .... Formerly the Carlisle Winebin, a family business that continues to thrive from the passion and knowledge exhibited by the staff .... always walk out the door with a couple new beers to try (most recently the Stone Levitation Ale and its partner in crime Stone Ruination IPA) ....... they also source some interesting high qualitity spirits and stock a great range of wines.

I like Cellerbrations Carlisle because they have some american stuff which you can’t get at IBS or Mane. Service is solid and staff are knowledgeable but sometimes they dont stop asking if I need help which annoys me. A little pricey compared to IBS and Mane. They have a god range of aussie micro’s

Incredible range. The selection of American and NZ beers exceeds the IBS, however doesn’t quite match IBS in terms of Europeans. Service is faultless, highly knowledgable staff very willing to assist and make recommendations based on your tastes. If you are in Perth, it is well worth the trip.

That’s it, I’m hooked, sign me up, can I sponsor them, can they sponsor me...., this place is awesome. From singles to packaged, nip bottles to magnums, your average through to the rare and vintages they have really done their importing groundwork here. Got a little overwhelmed and ended up walking out with a mixed six-pack of pretty average stuff, what!? Have to keep coming back I guess, work my way through their massive range. Took second place for ’Best Bottle Shop (300+ beers)’ in the ’Beer and Brewer’ magazines peoples choice awards, I reckon they were robbed. Well set out with all nooks and crannies filled with beer and breweriana, timber everything, used books on brewing and world beers set out like a library, nice ambiance and friendly knowledgeable staff. Could only fault them with not stocking enough Euro beers, especially German as I dying for a Kellerbier at the time. Anticipating my next visit!!

After reading bluevegie’s review, I had set my hopes fairly high, but what I found still managed to surpass them. One entire wall of singles, a small fridge for ciders and random things like, that another wall full of singles in coolers, and of course another row of coolers for macros. In comparison to the international beer shop, I would say that their collection of Belgian and English is just slightly smaller. However, it isn’t a huge difference, and nothing spectacular is lost. Also, they more than make up for it by carrying Thorogoods products, which are hard to find even in SA, and also a great supply of NZ stuff (Epic, Emersons, etc.). Staff were friendly and knew their beer. Prices were maybe a little higher than International Beer Shop, but not much, and you get a 10% discount on mixed 6 packs, which probably evens it out. Overall, if it isn’t ranked #1 in Perth, it is #1a. Outstanding, and a must stop.
