| downender (196), Bristol, England | | May 19, 2012 Huge selection of beers in this shop, with some ciders available too. My focus was on the Australian brews, but there was a wide range from Belgium, the UK and Scandinavia. Service was friendly and prices ok. Will definitely visit again the next time I am in town. | | marrymeipa (10), , | | January 17, 2012 International Beer Shop probably has the best range in Perth with Mane Liquor. They both have a few different products each which is always nice. Service is generally pretty good but a few times I’ve walked in without a peep from any of the staff. The shop is a little messy and the shelves are dusty but the beer is usually in date and all that stuff. Really good shop and it is one of my regulars | | Brenhophead (13), Perth, Australia | | November 19, 2011 This store seems to have the biggest range of craft beer in Perth. | dansmcd (3), , Australia does not count - explanation | | September 20, 2011 Incredible range. Knowledgable staff. Great selection of glassware. Tiny little corner shop, but jam packed with hundreds of beers from all over the world, particularly Europe. Would be nice to see a few more American beers but the overall selection would match up against any bottle shop in Australia. | | fletchfighters (14), , Australia | | May 30, 2011 Internet orders only
Best shop in Australia. Very simple.
Get a massive range and an easy to use website.
European stuff can get pricey but they get stuff from Nail and others in WA that are not available in NSW or Vic.
Outstanding customer service. | StuffWine (1), Perth, Australia does not count - explanation | | April 22, 2011 Simply the BEST range of beers available in Perth. Especially important with recent independent bottle stores selling out to big chains with poor range of beers. I actually get a little upset when visiting other cities that dont have a shop as good as this.
A German friend of mine was STUNNED with the shop’s range of beers he couldnt buy even in Germany!
Service is bloody fantastic - these guys are always happy to help, recommend, or just have a beery chat (if not too busy).
Only problem is that the shop has such a good range, i’m always spending more than i intended. The specials offerred add to my spending.
Good job guys. | | OSLO (119), Ames, Iowa | | September 2, 2009 Little store located on a street corner that looks rather residential. A Carlsberg sign hangs outside that reads, "Perhaps the best beer store in the world." A bold statement, but when you walk inside you can see why they are proud. Two rooms are dedicated to beer, with a third in the back containing wine. The Belgian/German/English/Australian selection is outstanding. The Belgian selection in particular really amazed me. It could be the best that I have ever seen in one store, and contains a number of things that I have never seen anywhere in the United States. North American beers are woefully unrepresented, with mainly Flying Dog, Rogue and Unibroue present. Prices vary widely in comparison to those I see in the United States. The Belgian beer tends to be about the same price, with some significantly cheaper. The Aussie beers often are higher in price than the majority of American craft beer is in America. The Scandinavian beer is very expensive. Staff was somewhat friendly, but not overly so. Overall, an outstanding beer store. | halfluck (7), East Victoria Park, Australia does not count - explanation | | November 21, 2008 I’ve never been so impressed by a bottle shop in my life i sure feel like a kid in a candy store everytime i go there, keep up the good work guys. | | gam (12), brisbane , Australia | | February 12, 2008 [ Updated May 6, 2008 ] One of the best beer shops I,ve come across, probably the best in Australia, have enjoyed some beautiful beers of them and the service is first rate. | | mullet (224), Melbourne, Australia | | January 15, 2008 [ Updated January 25, 2010 ] Looks like a converted milk bar, doesn’t look like much from the outside but hot damn it’s pretty exciting on the inside. Definitely the best range of beers in the country, and laid out extremely well. Staff knew the stock back to front. Heaps of stuff you can’t get elsewhere, though they seem to have a deal to distribute to Purvis and Grain & Grape now. Magical place. Rerate: Still an awesome range of beers but little, if anything, I can’t get in Melbourne these days, and they’re much more expensive than places on the east coast. Their website is finally getting regularly updated. |
