Multi-floor bar in Center City. Always a good selection of beers on tap- from locals to nationals and imports, too. My lady likes that they usually have a framboise or cider on tap. Mexican themed food. The burrito is big and tasty. The barkeepers have always been attentive and friendly. Not a place I frequent because it’s not an area of town I get to all that often. But, when I’m in the area I always stop in for a pint.

I started the craft beer express tour here. Right in center city... Small place with a bar upstairs and downstairs. Nice selection of craft beers on tap. (not sure what they have on during a normal day) I had a cask beer, quite tasty. I didnt eat. Overall decent litlte place to snag a beer. Server was into beer and was knew his stuff.

Stopped by this place with Andrew and PJ a few months back for a Russian River beer event. It was nice to have supplication, Consecration and Temptation on draft (one of them in a bottle - but i forget). Friendly staff, big sports atmosphere with TVs broadcasting the Penn State game. Two floors with lots of seating and two bars.

Not a huge draft selection, 10-12 lines I think, but anytime I’ve ever popped in there has been something new for me. I’ve never had the food but it smells delicious. Fair prices, good service, certainly worth stopping in if you’ve never been.

Conveninently located in downtown Philly, close to Monk’s, Jose Pistola’s would otherwise not be worth doing long detours for. A Mexican themed pub with more people drinking the numerous strong alcohols dominating the space behind the bar than people drinking beer. Classy polished wood interior, very dark. Their selection was nothing to write home about when I was there besides the Stone Anniversary that was everywhere in town at that time. I’d pop in if walking by, but there are lots of better option around.

Good selection of rarities on tap--Green Flash IPA, Port Anniversary IPA, etc. Bartender a bit lost, not beer savvy, kept walking outside to have a smoke, not overly friendly. Food typical Americanized Mexican (Cheddar cheese? WTF.)

Nice Mexican place with a good beer selection. Taps rotate frequently and there is a high quality, yet relatively small bottle list. Food was pretty good. Huge burritos and the nachos looked awesome although I didn’t order them. Biggest complaint from me is the service. People are jammed in the back room and there is typically one waitress. Last time in it took 30 minutes before my beer arrived. Not acceptable. Very relaxing place for happy hour after work.

Great location in downtown Philly, with proximity to Monk’s and Nodding Head. I love the mix of craft/import beer and Mexican food. The nachos are a must try, as they have guacamole and a variety of salsas for dipping. The bottle list is pretty consistent, but the taps change constantly. If you’re in center city Philly, stop by!
