80 Expansive selection of craft beer- by the case. Typical distributor atmosphere. Large amount of "sampler" cases, which is always nice to find with the case law. Friendly staff always willing to help you find something. When I’m in the area I always make a stop. |
78 The owner was a very friendly and helpful guy. He helped me find everything I was looking for. They have a great single 6 pack store at 9910 Frankford Ave, in Philly were you can mix a 6 pack. I got a nice selection of beers I can not get in New England.
The 6 pack store is a place I will go back to the next time I’m in Philadelphia. The selection was awesome! |
82 They will gladly bring in something you ask for here and usually have a good mix of microbrews and imports. Mostly sampler cases of microbreweries. If you do not want to buy a case you can run to their craftbeer outlet which isn’t far and you will find a great selection of single bottles/build your own six packs. |
96 While the strip mall location and the sokoban nature of the business of selling cases of beer keep the ambiance to a minimum, what the Beer Outlet lacks in finesse, it more than makes up for in friendly staff, craft beer selection, and genuine charm. I saw stacks of cases of flying fish, victory, stone, and lots of much smaller craft breweries which I want to research before going back. The prize of the trip was a sampler pack case from Unibroue wihich holds a selection of 8 beers, including Maudite and Trois Pistoles. It’s a beautiful, if costly, thing. There were plenty of sampler cases, and that’s just the sort of thing I’m interested in. Great Job, Beer Outlet. |
