Similar setup to the city center Foodery but much larger with easier to navigate space and more beers to choose from. Selection is top notch: Alesmith, Cigar City, Lost Abbey, Russian River, weird Norwegian and Italian stuff, Stillwater and lots of local stuff. Everything can be bought as singles. But again, the big negative for this store like its brother is the PRICING. No price tags on bottles. And the prices can be high to outrageous. I picked out 3 special beers I like: Stillwater Table Beer 22oz, Grassroots Wachu Saison 12oz, and Cisco Lady of the Woods 750mL. And the price together was $50!!!!! Whaaaaaaaa. Service guy was texting on his phone and generally disinterested. Fine with me.

Nice organized bottle shop right across from the standard tap .... Cooler doors dedicated to belgian, english, local, german, regular macro, international, micros from US and lots more .... 22oz and 750ml bottles of some rarities with a decent deli that had decent sandwiches and panini’s that were a bit small but tasty .... prices were a little high but thats the area and they had a nice build a six discount ... check this place out

I found this place to be pretty darn impressive. A really nice selection, of a lot of stuff you can and can’t find anywhere around me in NY/NJ. I’m still not sure that I really understand PA’s laws, but regardless, this place seemed to make them work in their favor. Beyond the selection, I liked that you could drink their obviously, and we had a rather good time, right Nick? We drank some interesting beers here while we were hanging out, and they seemed rather comfortable with our slightly intoxicated group haggling with them over the giant Allagash bottle and encouraging general drunkenness.

Great, great, great bottle shop in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philly. The selection is phenomenal. I’m not even going to go into it because they’ve got just about everything that’s distributed to the area. From local beers to out-of-state rarities (Russian River sours, beers cleared from shelves in other areas) to Belgians and lambics to BMC crap, you’ll find it all here. I think I had a Laughing Dog Sneaky Pete, an Ithaca Thirteen, and some other great stuff. I’m unhappy to report that I also got iced with a Smirnoff Ice that they unfortunately sell here. We drunkenly haggled with the people working there to sell us a $200 6L of Allagash Triple for $20, but they wouldn’t have it. Man, they stick by their prices! Prices are ok to a bit high, but nothing that will kill you. There’s also a solid food selection for the drunken munchies. Oh, and this place is right next to the Standard Tap so you can hit two spots easily in one trip. If you go to Philly, which by the way has the best distribution of any US city, this is a great place to stock up on some bottles and maybe drink some there. It’s like City Beer Store in San Francisco on steroids.

Nice bottle shop/deli type store. Knowledgeble staff, but biggest down falls include no pricing and over pricing.

If there is some esoteric beer you are looking for in Philly, the first retail establishment that comes to mind to try in Philly is the Foodery. The selection is amazing. The staff is also a plus, very knowledgeable and willing to give you all the time you need unless they are busy. Everything is incredibly well ordered in case after case lining the walls. That is the good side. There IS another side. The prices are outrageous. I dare you to put together a mixed six for anything approaching reasonable. And nothing is marked, causing you to have bother the staff repeatedly. For these reasons, this is my place of last resort. If I can find it ANYWHERE else, it is almost guaranteed to be more reasonable.

Great selection of beer in a nice part of town. Prices can be high but that seems to be normal for places offering mixed sixers in Pa. They have a seating area where you can drink your beer and eat your sandwich (if you get on form their deli, really tasty stuff). I like this place.

Nice location. Situated just across the street from Standard Tap in an up and coming area of North Philly. The ambiance and arrangement of the store is nice and easy for browsing. Great selection; Bells, Port Brewing / Lost Abbey, Jolly Pumpkin, Brew Dog, Hoppin’ Frog, Mikkeller. Prices are a bit rough. At least 10-20% mark up in prices. Still, great beer sometimes comes at a great price. Decent place for rare finds, special occasions, and epic tastings. Worth a try.

huge awesome selection. But $20 for a 22 of Hopin Frog triple IPA seems really high. Great selection but PRICEY

Incredible selection for such a small place. Ambiance is relaxed and the clerk was friendly. Two things i found a bit irritating: 1- The prices! over 7$ for a bomber of Arrogant Bastard..gimme a break. 2-The rebate is only applicable to multiples of six.WTH? I was still Happy to walk out with 12 beers i had not tasted before. Great place, but be ready to pay around 30% more thanmost beer stores.
