i love this place; awesome food, pinup art all over the walls/ceiling/bathroom... i usually stop in here before a phillies game for happy hour. half price beers! they always have additions to the menu, which is outstanding to begin with. they usually do not have the real hard-to-get stuff which is nice for me because it’s not crowded when i’m in there during the week for happy hour. great spot.

Great atmosphere- small and open air diner with 1940s theme: Varga girls. Tap list was impressive segregated into Session Blond, Strong Blond, Session Dark, Strong Dark, Cask. Had things there like Port Mongo, Older Viscosity, Flying Dog The Fear, Sly Fox, Prism, Yards. Good variety. Some of the kegs seemed to be a bit off. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local craft beer scene, which is gigantic in Philly. Very cool place. Food was outstanding: steak frites were top notch, sliders and burgers were very good. Went here three nights in a row. Definitely worth coming here for dinner and not just for the bar.

Just down the street from Tria you get more of a pub feel at Varga. The taplist is larger and the food choices are broader. The staff was friendly and the prices weren’t too bad. They had these amazing duck confit chicken wings and kobe beef sliders. They had a nice chalkboard of all the beer choices and the painting above the bar of some vintage babes was nice to look up at. Definitely a cool place to stop in at will have to come back in the summer to sit outside.

Nice place where you can sit outside and drink some good beers. Perhaps even engage in some in depth coversations about the city’s fine culture.

Has become a standard stop on my way home from dinner for a couple drinks. Love that fact that you can sit outside. They have an excellent beer selection that is frequently changing. When they run out of one beer they load up another one. Food is decent.

Nice city bar with a good beer selction, decent food, and great service. Nice in the summer time to sit aouside and drink a beer.
