88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Jow (93) New York | May 2, 2013 Came for dinner and drinks. Pretty cool decor despite outside and neighborhood not leading me to believe so, nice patio. Bartender very friend and attentive. Food was delicious and 31 taps of good brew and not being local plenty of new rates and delicious beers. Overall great time ill probably be back as close to hotel and they seem to turn over kegs quickly | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Metallion66 (2) , | March 30, 2013 Easily my favorite beer bar in the valley. 32 rotating taps, so you know they will have something different each time. The owners are great people, who are real big fans of Sour beers, so they are trying their best to have sours on tap, educate and get more people into them.
The food menu is very ecclectic. Not your typical bar food, definitely on a higher scale. Everything I have ate here was fantastic.
Really the only downside to this, is that it is a little bit more pricey than your typical craft beer bar, but it is absolutely worth it though. | 58 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 bigbeersrule (31) | March 29, 2013| Updated April 23, 2013 The ambience and draft selection are pretty good. Major fail in service and food though. The servers don’t know anything about beer whatsoever. The only bartender that did they fired. Food often comes out wrong and forget about trying to special order anything.
Update-They fired the only bartender who knew anything about beer. It’s a shame because this place has potential but the owners just don’t know how to run a business apparently. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 rickyleepotts (7) Scottsdale, Arizona | March 12, 2013| Updated April 23, 2013 We went here the week they opened, and knew right away they were going to be a huge success. They have a TON of taps, and get some really rare beers. The two people that own it are real estate agents, found this listing, and bought it... to open a bar! Glad they did, because they get some really good beers on tap. They have bottles coming soon. Oh, and the food... the food is amazing. Get the pop tarts. They are home made and delicious. This place also has a very cool vibe and is a great place to relax and have lunch outside on a lazy Sunday afternoon. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 jsquire (120) St. Marys, Ohio | March 10, 2013| Updated April 23, 2013 Very nice tap list with lots of AZ beers, good craft beers and a few imports. They have a nice pick your own sampler flight. Good burger and fries for lunch and a genius home made pop tart for dessert. Very nice beer bar. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 bleeng (123) Houston nowhere near Beersel, Texas | February 28, 2013| Updated April 23, 2013 Went last week for the Firestone Walker tap takeover during AZ beer week. This is a very welcome addition to the PHX beer scene. The staff was very attentive and on top of everything for a packed joint. Nice beer selection otherwise. Will visit again. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 hophound (4) Surprise, Arizona | December 21, 2012| Updated April 23, 2013 Very cool place. 31 taps and good food. Highly recommended. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 nbutler11 (301) Phoenix, Arizona | November 29, 2012| Updated April 23, 2013 Welcome to the party! This place has massive potential, and is off to a great start. Love the decor and vision, but question a few choices. Do you really need 31 taps if you can’t rotate them fast enough and have a number of hum drum beers on? They also seem to be served in under-sized glassware. Nice menu, based on what I sampled, but service needs work. Already one of the better places in the Valley, though. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 18/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | November 17, 2012| Updated April 23, 2013 Came in here on a Friday afternoon. Not crowded initially but it fills up. Well staffed, and service was solid. Didn’t order food. Really nice tap list with 31 things; good mix of local, West Coast, and Euros. Some great under-the-radar ones that were new to me. $6-$7 for most taps, with a few higher and few lower. Samplers available with 6 pours but I didn’t catch the price. Great place. Visit when in Phoenix. | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 marctobolski (1) , | November 8, 2012| Updated April 23, 2013 This is the new #1 spot for beer in Phoenix. The selection is great and it changes constantly. The food is possibly the most imaginative and well-executed bar food ever. The back patio offers great views of downtown skyline. Dog-friendly too. Wait staff requires more knowledge of beers available and styles. But for a new place they are nearly knocking it out of the ballpark. |
