My third visit here, and the tours are getting more and more boring, but you get the reward at the end. Souvenir shop and restaurant as well a small outdoor beer garden well worth a visit in summer time. This place is all about the beer in the cellar. A must visit in Pilsen.

This brewery covers a big part of Pilsen and is hard to miss (due to some commercial plates all over town and the grand famous brewery gate). Did the tour, which was very interesting and they sure did cover lots of info about the beers, industry, process, bottling and of course the cool 9 km underground tunnels where you get to taste the Pilsner Urquell Kvasnicový (you can choose between a small and big cup). The tour is about 7 euro’s and worth your money. There is also a gift shop which sells beers, shirts and lots of other beerware. Behind the gift shop theres a restaurant with some nice beers and good food. All by all a must visit when you are in Czech.

1.5 hour tour for like 10 bucks. extra if you want to take pictures. last 10 minutes of the tour is exciting, with the anticipation of trying an awesome new pilsner in the deep dark tunnels underneath pilsen. beer was great, worth it depending on how much time you have to putz around in czech republic. travelled up in the morning, hit up the noonish brewery tour, then to na park, then back to prague. still plently of time left for a trip around prague in the same day. didn’t pay for the extra picture priviledge. happy i didn’t. bunch of people were taking pics throughout the tour without the special picture taker sticker. our guide didnt seem to care. wish they would let you drink more beer in the cellar. they sell every other damn thing, why not a refill? oh well.. fun trip to do once. not much desire to travel out to pilsen again soon.

One of the most classic places for bee pilgrimage. The brewery tour was nice, but the commercialisation was almost disturbing. The famous unfiltered beer in the cellar was a disappointment - I’d prefer the unpasteurised version any time.

So you pay about $10 for a plastic cup full of the unfiltered, unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell. So is it worth it? Hell yeah. A nice tour FWIW. The second most interesting part of the tour is to see half the people on the tour dump out their samples of the beer when I know most people here would give their left nut to just try a couple sips.

Probably my favorite brewery tour of all-time. You get to see all of the new equipment- tanks, bottling, etc as well as the old cellar where they would lager the beer. The highlight of the tour was trying the unfiltered Pilsner Urquell. Simply amazing. Afterwards, we hit the restaurant to try all of the beers and had some very tasty food. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.

You’re only going here to get the Pilsner from the wood. We all know that. But the brewery still has some historically interesting features, and the tour isn’t bad for a big industrial joint. Restaurant was not impressive. When will they start the special tour that just goes to the caves and includes all-you-can-drink from the wood?

We ended up spending most of the afternoon here, starting with a lunch at their enormous restaurant. That part was not the most memorable of the visit as the food was sub-par (-1 on the sausage plate with 10 smallish sausages served over a watery sauerkraut). The visit was pretty much worth it though. WHile relatively long at 90 minutes, it is globally interesting and places like the bottling facility, fermenting room and the huge cellars are attractive indeed. Going out from the cellars @ 6 degrees to the 30 degrees yard under the sun to drink your freshest oaked pilsner is quite the treat and one of those wordly beer experience that has to be tried once.

90 Minute tour. Do it for the beer. 150Kr. and was charged extra for taking pictures on the tour. Our guide memorized the story from a script and was not enthusiatic about what she was doing. Well worth for the few ounces of beer though. It was also avaliable in the Resturant Na Spilze in the basement, so if you dont have 90 minutes you can walk in and taste the tank ulfiltered edition which is just as good! A must visit in Plzen

The beginning of the tour if kind of fun. The high-tech video is entertaining even if a little on the brain-washing side of things. Still, it provides an entertaining and instructive background of this legendary brewery. The installations are impressive to say the least. But things get interesting once you hit the underground. Quite an experience. And that oak-barrel fermented Pilsner Urquell that you drink while freezing in this wet underground maze is one of the few rare beers lived up to the hype. One of the best “Thirst-beer” I’ve had. Really worth it. Inquire about hours. They had 3 tours a day when I was there.
