| rumproasts (34), Grand Rapids, Michigan | | May 3, 2012 truly outstanding space in an old church. the beers could suck and i’d still recommend a visit. luckily, the beers definitely do not suck. food is above average. | | nbutler11 (226), Phoenix, Arizona | | April 21, 2012 Possibly the greatest physical space for a brewery I have ever visited. The genius of this place is crushing. The beer and food are decent, but the place itself is worthy of pilgrimage. | Rughead (3), , does not count - explanation | | March 6, 2012 Cool concept. Very good beer. Unfortunately it's stuck in pittsburgh. | | Maduro54 (11), , | | December 26, 2011 Thunderhops on tap is "rad" and food great but if looking for that beer nut place, well.... | | DragonStout (96), Pickerington, Ohio | | December 26, 2011 Stopped here on a recent trip. I have heard about this place and always wanted to go.This place was fantastic. An old church turned into a brewpub. What I liked is that the outside was untouched, it still looked like a church and th inside still had the original stain glass, wood work, pipe organ, and pews. The flight was well worth it and also was able to pick up a 750 of Cherry Quadzilla. The food was good, nothing to jump up and down about.I will go back again. | | BeerVirgin72 (94), Pickerington, Ohio | | December 12, 2011 Long before I was into craft beer I wanted to go here after seeing it featured on the Travel Channel. Finally got my chance. Service and atmosphere was fantastic. The old church is beautiful. The food was okay. We had the pierogies, and they were decent, not great. We had a pizza that was pretty good, but overall, I dont think their food is spectacular. THe beers were much better than I was expecting. Most were good, and some were exceptional. Our service was fantastic though, and I would definitely go back for the beer alone. | | ads135 (49), Lawrence, | | November 20, 2011 A microbrewery in an old church. In place of an altar stands the brewing equipment. Decent beer. Went here with co-presenters after the Graduate Student conference on the Euro Environment. | joecon (3), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | October 5, 2011 Great place for a great beer! The pizza’s are fantastic! I recommend the Southwest Pizza! | | JoePeesie (63), Long Lake, Illinois | | September 19, 2011 Cool place to stop for lunch and a beer, the selection of their beers was good, but that was about it. Food was solid, service was good. Definitely worth checking out. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | August 1, 2011 As the name suggests, this place is located in an old church. What was once a confessional booth is now the liquor cabinet and what once held the organ now is the location for the pizza oven. There’s a ton of space in here and fairly decent space for parking. Most of the beers were ok, nothing really knocked my socks off and $15 for a sampler it was a bit pricier then I thought it would be. They had 8 things on tap and they seem like they have a lot of seasonals as well. I might get back if I’m in the area. |
