dyetube (6), McKinney, Texas does not count - explanation | | January 5, 2012 The beer selection here is quite good and the bartenders are nice and very helpful. The inside is quite small and cramped though. The food is Berger than most bar food but there is better food at some other places. All in all, I really like coming here. Cheers! | MisterGrizz (8), , does not count - explanation | | December 22, 2011 Limited seating, decent beer selection, so-so food and the "Shops at Legacy" crowd make this a last on my list to visit. Not a bad choice, but not even my third pick. Stop in for a good beer but don’t expect a whole lot else. | cfwiii (2), Plano, Texas does not count - explanation | | November 3, 2011 The beer selection is great. They change the beers up quite often. Prices and service are great. My only complaint is that the food isn’t better than just okay. Otherwise, a great place! | | Dixonian (79), Dallas, Texas | | January 31, 2011 By far the best place to get a beer in the Shops at Legacy. Pretty good selection - sometimes they surprise me by getting some pretty hard to find stuff of tap. Glass nights are great here since usually I can just whip in and out. The two bartenders who usually serve me know a decent amount about beer and are friendly. Food, like the other locations, is just decent. The pretzels are my favorite. A bit small, but there is a decent deck/patio. All in all, not a bad place. | bpjake (5), Texas does not count - explanation | | January 26, 2011 After visiting the Gman, Shops at Legacy numerous times, I decided to write a review after revisiting the Dallas location. What a difference! The douche, Shops at Legacy feel about the Plano location is such a dissapointmen from other locations. The service is hit and miss (as far as beer passion or even knowledge), and is almost always slow to apathetic. They do have a big selection, but having the Miller’s and Bud’s on tap really takes it down a notch for me. Couple that with the no alcohol and the Gman’s notoriously bad food choices, I will stay away. | crajun (8), , Texas does not count - explanation | | October 2, 2010 finally made it there; sat outside on a great early fall evening (can’t beat that for ambiance). Great knowledgreable waitress, fast service (didn’t eat, food looked basic). lots of beer choices.
Don’t think you can do better for being in Plano.. | | Mora2000 (52), Dallas, Texas | | September 11, 2010 Nice pub located in the new development at the intersection of Legacy and the Toll Road. The beer selection is not as extensive as the Flying Saucer locations, but the staff seems to know their stuff. The bar gets a handful of the rarer Texas beers, including some of the barrel-aged Real Ale stuff. Decent food, but I would recommend eating before you come. One of my regular bars and a place I recommend to anyone. | | ilovedarkbeer (61), Abilene, Texas | | February 13, 2010 place is filled with mid-30s suburbinites. I got more of a mens club vibe when I walked in than a pub vibe. I supposed its because this building it new and have never been smoked in or has seen years of drunk people messing it up. interior is small and the wait staff is very average. They don’t have the ability to make fries here. what the hell? whatever its dark in here and there is beer. I’m a happy boy. | | BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | February 12, 2010 A Gingerman bar located in the Shops at Legacy right off of the Tollway. Different than the other in that it is in a shopping mall. Feels a bit more sterile than the other two Gingerman that I have been to. I guess it is newer. Bar tender was from the Fort Worth Gingerman. Food was the same as the others. Beer line up was comparable to the other ones and decent. A bit pricey. There are two beer engines for cask beers. Not a bad stop if you are in the area. | | ericandersnavy (35), Denton, Texas | | December 24, 2009 went here with mar for an afternoon beer. not bad place. lighting is a little dull. decent tap selection. didnt try the food, but mar said his sandwich was great. |
